Julie Chrisley Receives Shocking Probation Change
Chrisley Knows Best alum, Julie Chrisley, has received a shocking probation change. She had a resentencing trial in September 2024 but that left her and her family heartbroken. So, what happened with probation? Keep reading for all of the details and fan reactions.
Julie Chrisley Receives Shocking Probation Change
Julie Chrisley’s family was very optimistic when her resentencing approached. They were hopeful that she could get lucky and even be released within the year. Sadly, that was not the outcome so they had to keep their heads held high and look toward what they could do next. She and her husband, Todd Chrisley were sentenced to a collective nineteen years behind bars for tax evasion, fraud, and conspiracy. They entered two separate prisons in January 2023 with Todd in Florida while Julie is serving time in Kentucky. Julie is going to keep fighting and her family still will keep praying that she and Todd come home sooner rather than later.
Their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, has been very open about prison life and the trial. She talks about the abuse her parents have endured, especially on her father’s end. Furthermore, she guides fans and followers through all the steps of how her parents communicate, even if they are limited. Now, she is opening up about her mother’s shocking probation change. In a twist, it was extended by two years. According to Monsters & Critics, Savannah shared her heartbreak over this news on her Unlocked podcast:
“Instead of taking away time… the judge actually added two years on to her probation. So that’s two more years in custody basically, and that was just astonishing to me.”
It’s not over per Savannah as the family is determined to appeal the ruling. They are not stopping until they believe justice has been served. Savannah was struggling to understand it all. She went on to add:
“How does less evidence somehow lead to more time? It’s hard to make sense of it all.”
Immediately, fans and followers of Savannah’s were blown away by the news of Julie Chrisley’s extended probation. They chimed in with their thoughts and they agreed with her daughter.

Make It Make Sense
Fans spoke out in favor of Julie Chrisley after Savannah Chrisley shared her heartbreak over the shocking probation situation. They failed to understand why this was happening and felt this was the incorrect punishment:
- That judge is wrong!! She’s is doing this out of hate and meanness!!! We all know the sentence does not fit the crime.
- That is crazy…people who do worse get less time..praying for you
- I don’t condone what Todd and Julie did but adding two more years to her sentencing is wrong. Especially when she’s been a model prisoner.
Hopefully, Savannah will take solace in all of the support she has been receiving and see that many do not agree with this drastic change. As one person said, they may not agree with the crime but this extension of two years is completely unnecessary.

well we have see first hand how judges are super corrupt…they seem to do this a lot based on personal feelings
it could b as Julie said her worst enemy is her daughter big mouth if she would just keep it shut as far as judge I can’t answer that could b but somebody pulling strings and if I were them I would not bank on DONALD TEUMP PARDON THEM SINCE HE SAID HE WAS GOING PARDON ALL THE RIOTERS THST GOT PUT IN PRISON I DONT KNOW HOW MANY PARDONDS HE CAN DO AT TIME ??
I agree. Savannah needs to shut her trap. They will never let her out if she keeps trashing the judge. Her attorney should be advising her of this.
they should turn them both a loose they hadn’t done anything the other ones hadn’t done they just got caught was all the judge must have been judge Judy because she seems like a real b****
you got that right!!what about men and women in congress their not squeaky clean probably done worse .I say give them a second chance!!
The 2 year probation extension is nuts. Hey Savanah give me a call @ 601 550 9429 and I know of a very good lawyer and could get you his contact information. My name is Randy.
I think that judges are the real abusers of children & adults. they wear black robes and act like they are God’s. they are the most lawless vile garbage on the planet as well as most lawyers too. they both earned the title lawless garbage. if they are offended then they shouldn’t have taken part in being a lawless piece of crap.
this judge is lawless too. she did this just to prove that she could. bc no one stops this lawless garbage from breaking the laws that bind them. i don’t see how extended a sentence is lawful. I can see lessen the time. but not adding to it. show me in the law where what this judge did was lawful. until then to those that agree with this judge. sit down & shut up. thank you.
I think that lawless authorities should be immediately executed for breaking the laws that bind them. they would think twice about breaking the laws that bind them then. also i think less would decide that they want this kind of power. incase their screw up. they’d be done for. judges are so quick to destroy any lives that they feel like. most of them destroy innocent lives too. so give them the death sentence for breaking the laws that bind them everytime they break one law that binds them & they’d not want to break another law ever again. i hope that president Trump decides to do this to all lawless authority that breaks the laws that bind them. to show that no one is above breaking the laws.
other than trump he can do what ever but you want to execute someone who judged by the information provided. I don’t like judges or the law because it only applies to the person they are after and they will bend and break the true of the matter but I don’t feel a wrong opinion or outlook of the situation should lead to a death sentence but there are some that that should be measured in my truth
you want someone that think he is above the law to make changes on corruption. Good luck with that.
obviously tRump is above the law! si you want to kill everyone who is a judge or does things you don’t like? hmm sounds like you’re the criminal here. death to everyone you hate so no law and order? BTW probation is after your prison sentence is over and everyone goes through it.
The judge is abusing her power as judge to do more harm than good. The judge needs to be kicked out of being a judge. Its a shame when they want to be God. Julie hang in there maybe somebody will just the Judge.
Yes they need to be punished for their actions, however they were wronged!! the harsh punishment doesn’t fit the crime. people who’ve done worse, like killing a child got less time.
The judge in the resentencing was evil and corrupt. less crime, should be less time, not more. Something needs to be done about this injustice.
so stealing 30 million dollars you shouldn’t get time in prison? so let’s see you try it and see if you ever get out because there’s time served when you rich and a different time when you’re poor. you ain’t rich! and they got off lucky. federal pen is a cushy place and nothing like a regular prison you’d be in.
I agree with Savannah that more time was not a fair sentence. I think the judge should have rethought this. I would appeal for sure. Also, i think i might get a new lawyer on the team. Something just not right with that sentence. I don’t care how they feel about Savannah should not have anything to do with Julie. This is my opinion but i would take as far as i could. Less charge should not equal more time. That’s ridiculous.
let her go way over sentence with no more she had to do with all this mishap she’s done her time released her before her health gets lot worse than is
I believe what they did was wrong , and I believe in 2nd chances. It’s time to let them out . Thèy can always add some probation time once their out. But not by that judge !
Julie seems to be the level headed one. Betting Todd made her do it. Todd is such a loud mouth. Like a spoiled child. If it’s not his way there’s a tatrum. Hope Julie’s sentencing gets changed. Keep fighting for her.
let em go already I think they learned….smh
You know, I’m not sold on all this anyway. Julie was a very very busy wife, mother and daughter (along with whatever anyone else added to her plate). As a spouse we trust what they tell us or have us do. I’m wondering if Julie signed some papers that Todd ask her to, and with her busy life just signing papers in a rush because he ask her too. I’m very curious how this all came about in the first place. Julie strikes me as a good ol girl. Never been in trouble, always following the rules etc etc.I just can’t see her getting involved with something to this magnitude. If this is the case, she should be set FREE!!! NOW…Todd on the other hand, we all know he can be a little shady… Sorry Todd! However, they BOTH were given unbelievable sentences. Very UNFAIR time that was handed down to both of them. Second degree murders get less time than what Todd got!!! SOME folks in these high power positions need to reevaluate themselves in the mirror before leaving home each morning. The Chrisley are not murders, spouse abuser, child molesters, elderly abusers, etc etc. They have done a lot of good things for their families, for other families, their communities for people they don’t know, taking care of their parents, raising good children, need I go on??? I’m certain none of these things were taken into consideration and that’s not right. If I were the judge, I would have made them pay back the money with community service. I pray for THE CHRISLEY all the time. I’m looking forward to seeing them BOTH released.
I cannot believe Josh Dugger gets less time than Todd Chrisley!!! Charged with HORRIBLE charges against children- doing less time. That should say a whole lot right there! Sure they are guilty of something. NOTHING that deserves THIS! Prisons are overcrowded bc of stupid sentences like these 2!!
