‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Player Wins Big After Wrong Vowel Bet
On Wheel of Fortune, guessing the right letter can help, but solving the puzzle is what helps you win the game. One contestant proved this during a recent episode when she managed to overcome a letter setback. Taking to social media, some fans even tried to guess just what helped her solved the puzzle.
One Vowel Could Have Pretty Much Solved The Puzzle
On the past November 1st episode, a Philadelphia teacher, Reyna, proved her skills throughout the game. As could be seen in the backdrop, the episode was dedicated to “celebrating teachers.”
Reyna obtained a high score of $18,5000, as well as a trip to Spain. Eventually, she made her way to the bonus round, choosing the “Place” category.
Soon, Reyna was given a puzzle with two five-letter words. With the letters automatically given, only an “R” and an “N” were added. This caused Reyna to quip, “You’re definitely putting me to work.”
Reyna was then given her chance to guess additional letters. She chose “C, D, M, and A.” All but the vowel were part of the puzzle. Now reading “R_ _ M _’ ‘C _ ND _,” it seemed like having no vowels would be a setback for Reyna.
With ten seconds left to go, however, Reyna’s first guess was all she needed: “ROOMY CONDO.” As it turned out, if she had guessed an “O” as her vowel, she would have had all but one letter solved.
Reyna celebrated her win saying, “I got that!” Giving Seacrest high-fives and a hug, he revealed she won $40,000, earning $58,500 in total. He then congratulated her with a “Well done!”
As noted by TV Insider, the moment was shared on the show’s YouTube. As the description read, “Reyna made light work of this Bonus Round Puzzle!”
Some Wheel Of Fortune Fans Tried To Figure Out Reyna’s Thought Process
One fan wrote in the comments, “I always love it when the contestants get excited because they know the puzzle.” The show’s YouTube page responded to this, noting, “Their excitement is contagious!”
Another shared, “That was a pretty good solve with a fighting chance by Reyna and didn’t need the ‘O’s’, and the ‘C’, ‘D’ & ‘M’ saved her, no problem and won 40k.” One fan admitted the clues confused them, writing, “Lol I thought it was ‘Candy’ but the letter A wasn’t in the puzzle and I totally forgot about the category.”
A few fans tried to guess just how Reyna solved the puzzle. One such fan wrote, “She knew because there was no E or A.” Another suggested she went through the vowels to find the right answer.
