While Wheel Of Fortune can be very entertaining at times, there seems to be varying levels of fun for participants. Undoubtedly, there are many changes with Ryan Seacrest taking over the Wheel, but fans pick up on something very specific. Recently, WOF was blasted for taking a turn for the worse with cheap production peaking through.

Wheel Of Fortune Celebrates Teachers

In the November 1 episode of Wheel Of Fortune, three teachers competed for the win. Among them was Reyna Kilpatrick-Ray who is a proud 5th-grade history and 6th-grade geography teacher. She was quick to celebrate the opportunity to play the game. Additionally, fans witnessed Philadelphia teacher, Reyna, take on the Bonus Round even after missing her vowel choices. While she didn’t have any vowels on the board to work with, she still managed to pull out the win. Originally, she had a high score of $18,5000 and gained herself a trip to Texas. With the Bonus Round, she added $40,000 to her overall pot. However, some fans are blasting WOF for cheap production after watching several shows lately.

Undoubtedly, Reyna was full of energy and extremely grateful to be part of Wheel Of Fortune‘s Celebrating Teachers night. Ryan Seacrest was happy to present her a trip to Texas including a stay at the historic Menger Hotel. It is located directly on Alamo Plaza with easy access to visit The Alamo. Afterward, she was informed the trip value of $8,000 would be added along with the cash winnings.

Although Reyna eagerly announced the destination before Ryan could, fans were bewildered at the low-budget option she got. On Reddit, fans discussed the prize, saying, “San Antonio?” The viewer continues, “First of all, that’s a lame destination for a prize puzzle. But secondly, can someone please enlighten me how she knew what it was actually going to be? Ryan was saying some gibberish but I’m still confused.”

  • Another person adds, “I commented to my husband about this. I love San Antonio, but it certainly doesn’t cost that much to visit there. And, Spain is the other trip?!”
  • “I hear there’s a basement at the Alamo worth checking out.”

How Did Reyna Know Where Wheel Of Fortune Was Sending Her?

Other fans solved the mystery of Reyna knowing her Wheel Of Fortune destination before Ryan Seacrest announced it.

  • “Cue card.”
  • “There was someone off-camera holding a sign. They showed all that.”
  • “Ryan actually brought the cue cards up after the next commercial break. He showed them to the viewing audience & said this is how she knew it was San Antonio.😆Anyway, no disrespect to the city of San Antonio being the prize, but really?🤨.”

Texas Better Get Ready!

On YouTube, Reyna Kilpatrick seems very excited to take her Wheel Of Fortune trip to San Antonio, TX. A video says, “Reyna saw the prize before Ryan could say it, and let’s just say, San Antonio better get ready for her energy! Super excited about the trip!”

Fans Criticize The Luck Of The Draw

Likewise, after one Wheel Of Fortune contestant won a trip to Savannah, GA several episodes prior, fans criticized that production was lavish on some and cheap on others.

  • Another Reddit post notes the discrepancy, “Prize puzzles.” Then, says, “I cannot imagine being from Dekalb County and winning a trip to Savannah! Omg!!!! Some days you get ITALY some days you get a trip three hours from your house…so wild!”
  • “My wife just said the same. There should be more consistency.”
  • While some wondered if it was determined by having a passport or not, someone else disagreed. They say, “I’m actually not sure but I doubt their passport makes a difference. Usually game show prizes are preset so it’s probably just down to luck. At the end of the day the winnable range is known to be $1000 to roughly $1,410,000 so any trip between those is fair game lol.”
