Pascal Ibgui Reveals Huge Idea For Future ‘Golden Bachelorette’
Pascal Ibgui shocked fans on Wednesday night when he said he didn’t see a future with Joan Vassos. He self-eliminated and said he didn’t feel a spark with her. He was asked in a recent interview if he would ever consider trying to rekindle things with Joan. Pascal answered by saying the show would never work in the future unless they tried something different. He has a great idea for future seasons. Keep reading to find out more.
Pascal Ibgui Has A Great Suggestion For Golden Bachelorette Future
Pascal Ibgui opened up to Glamour recently and talked about his experience on The Golden Bachelorette. He is extremely grateful for the experience but in the end he doesn’t believe it could have ever worked out with Joan Vassos.
He was asked if things didn’t work out between Joan and her final rose winner if he would consider trying to date her again. Pascal made a good point and offered a wonderful idea for producers to consider for future seasons of both The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette.
He noted that he has said from the beginning that taking a young couple such as what is on the traditional seasons of the show and having them move to be with each other is fine. They are young and can build a life together. However, older individuals are involved, they most likely have roots, are established and have no intention of uplifting their lives for love.
Pascal said, “I have a business, I have real estate, I have my friends, I have my routine, I have my health club, I have my connection…I ain’t going to move anywhere. They should do The Golden Bachelor of Chicago, The Golden Bachelor of New York, The Golden Bachelor of LA, The Golden Bachelor of Miami.”
He Further Explained What He Was Thinking
Pascal Ibgui went on to say there is no way the show wouldn’t be able to find 25 people within one city who are either divorced or widowed. He said, “Because in my age, I want to wake up with somebody, I want go to bed with somebody. I want to take a walk with somebody. I don’t want to get in a plane to go see somebody every two weeks.”
He admits this is one of the biggest challenges he faced with getting serious with Joan Vassos. Pascal wants to be with someone daily not just sometimes. Moving forward he believes the show needs to modify itself for it to work out for older generations.
His idea is similar to Married at First Sight where they focus on one city and the couples are all from that area.
What do you think of Pascal’s idea for the show?

I wonder why Pascal stayed in as long as he did because I’m quite sure he was having doubts before the Fantasy Suite situation. Having said that, I’m not sure that Joan is ready to move on with a new relationship yet. She needs more time and distance to heal. 32 years is a long time to be married. Being widowed after 32 years and being divorced after 32 years are two different situations. I will give Pascal props for suggesting that this franchise for the Golden men and women zero in on Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette of LA or Dallas or Boston. I’m a 69 year old widow and wouldn’t be crazy about having to move from the Dallas area to Wichita, Kansas or any other area outside of the DFW area when my family is here.
I think that Joan should have been over her ex before she was chosen. she’s had two chances now but still all she talks about is John and her guilt. What guilt? he’s dead! I also think that by giving them only a few short weeks its impossible for all parties to accomplish much. Why does the younger series get a full season but Golden only a few short weeks? it’s ridiculous. it will never work if they continue this way. And then the blame will be placed on the Golden folks to not be able to find happiness. I see where this is going. Revamp is needed.
