The home of Pastor John-Paul “JP” Miller has been raided by the FBI. This comes out after the death of his wife Mica amidst their divorce. Neighbors who were at the scene during the search have even shared firsthand accounts of what they saw.

Mica’s Family Has Launched A Wrongful Death Suit

Local reports claimed that dozens of agents could be seen at Miller’s home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this past Friday. This notably occurred six month after the death of his wife Mica during a church sermon.

Mica had been found dead from a gunshot wound on April 27, 2024. She was 30 years old at the time of her death.

At the time, Mica’s death had been ruled a suicide. However, Mica’s family would issue a wrongful death suit, making allegations of abuse. This in turn helped spark national interest in the case.

John-Paul had initially announced Mica’s passing during a church sermon, after which he took a leave of absence from his duties. However, he has since returned to his work as a pastor.

According to WBTW, neighbors were told to evacuate their home during the FBI search. It’s believed that Miller was not at home when authorities conducted their search.

A reporter for News13 claimed that around 25 FBI agents could be seen at the scene. Having a search warrant to investigate, they could been seen putting on gloves and carrying bags before entering the home.

According to The U.S. Sun, an FBI spokesperson confirmed the house, which is owned by Solid Rock Ministries Inc., was being searched. However, an official reason was not given at the time. Prior to this, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an investigation into Mica’s death.

There Was A ‘Justice For Mica’ Rally Across The Street From JP’s Home

One neighbor, Dennis Blair, shared that, “I came back outside and saw cop cars everywhere. Officers in the front yard with guns drawn, got a little bit nervous.” He continued, “Then I heard the bullhorn go off, saying, ‘This is the FBI, we have your house surrounded. Come out with your hands up. We’re here to execute a warrant.’ At that point, I got a little nervous and they yelled at me to grab my dog and go back into the house.”

Later on Friday afternoon, a rally of “Justice for Mica” supporters gathered outside a nouse across the street. They could be seen wearing “Justice for Mica,” as well as holding hands and praying.

An attorney who represents Mica’s family, Regina Ward, also issued the following statement over the search: “The FBI is obviously a very professional agency…They make sure they dot their I’s and cross their T’s and they would not have been here today unless they were absolutely ready to execute that search warrant.” However, it was noted she was still gathering information about the search.

On YouTube, true crime channel, “The Robbie Harvey,” uploaded a video over the search. As the description read: “Almost six months to the day his wife died, FBI Agents raided the home of Pastor John-Paul Miller of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.”

“But what were the FBI looking for and what did they take? Is this investigation about the financials of Solid Rock Church? Or does this have to do with the death of Mica Miller?”
