‘Golden Bachelorette’ Pascal Ibgui Reveals Truth For Quitting Show
Golden Bachelorette fan-favorite Pascal Ibgui self-eliminated on Wednesday night. He told Joan Vassos that he did not love her in the way she deserved to be loved. He went so far as to say there was no spark between them. Everyone was shocked to see him go but why did he really leave? Pascal revealed the truth about why he quit the show. Pascal Ibgui Reveals Truth About Quitting
Many fans were just as shocked as Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos that Pascal Ibgui decided to leave. They never even made it to the fantasy suites to have their off-camera time. At the beginning of dinner, Pascal told Joan that he didn’t think he could ever get to the place she needed him to be.
He told her that he knows they have a blast together but there also needs to be a spark and there just isn’t one. Pascal is not in love with Joan. She was very disappointed to hear this from him but kept insisting it was fine.
He said, “I know what love is. I care about you as a friend. But I’m not in love. I can’t be there…I need that spark. I just don’t have it.”
Fans learned more about Pascal during his speech to Joan as well including the real reason he left. Pascal said that he had been very in love the year before. In fact, he was reportedly engaged until last November. He was brokenhearted and is still not over it.
Pascal also admitted that his daughter signed him up for The Golden Bachelorette in hopes that he could find happiness again. He didn’t think he would last long on the show. He shared that since there were 24 men all with fantastic qualities, he thought he would be sent home rather quickly.
Pascal Came From Hard Past
Pascal Ibgui also pointed out to Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos again that he came from a rough childhood. When he came to the United States from France he even had holes in his shoes. He says he worked very hard to get to where he is today.
He is very successful and at age 69 owns a salon that has over 75 employees on board. Pascal likes to have the fancy cars and expensive clothes but he worked hard for it after not having it as a child.
Overall, Pascal referred to himself as “damaged goods” and still had his walls up with Joan.
