Matthew Perry Desperately Wanted Normal Life Before Tragic Death
Friends actor Matthew Perry tragically died a year ago after taking ketamine and getting into his hot tub. He was found unresponsive and sadly did not survive. A year later, his family is looking back on everything that has happened and also on Matthew’s life. His mom recently spoke out about her son and said he desperately wanted a normal life. Matthew Perry Wanted Normal Life Before Dying
Actor Matthew Perry’s life was cut short due to his struggles with addiction. It’s been a long year since his death for the family and friends who adored him. There have been charges filed against those who helped Perry obtain and inject the drug.
As everyone continues to grieve his passing, his mom did an interview on the Today show in which she talked about her son and all that he wanted out of life.
Suzanne Morrison spoke of her son and shared that prior to his sad death, he wanted a normal life. He wanted desperately to find a solution to his problems. While autopsy reports indicate Perry had been clean for 19 months before his passing, he had struggled with addiction for decades.
She revealed he was undergoing Ketamine infusions for treatment of his depression. Morrison said he didn’t “appreciate the frightening aspect of this medication.” Instead, Perry sought higher doses which were given to him illegally. Five people have been charged in his death.
As far as what Perry wanted out of life, his mom shared he spoke of having a wife, children and even a dog. She said, “He talked about, ‘It’s time for me to have a wife and it’s time for me to have children and I want that.'”
He Was Passionate About Helping Others
Suzanne Morrison shared that her son Matthew Perry was very passionate about helping others and it no doubt was the thing that drove him most to get sober.
His mom said when someone asked him for help he dropped everything and helped them.
Perry’s sister Madeline Morrison noted that Matthew would pay for people to go to rehab. He wanted everyone to get better. After he died, many approach his family and tell them Matthew is the only reason they are sober.
