Ant Anstead Facing Multiple Lawsuits For Fraud
British car enthusiast Ant Anstead is in very serious legal trouble at the moment. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the 45-year-old was accused of fraud and misrepresentation just months before he filed for bankruptcy.
Shortly after, he issued an official statement. Ant’s statement seemed to ignore the mounting legal issues and focus on the road ahead. It certainly had notes of positive optimism, when the situation really called for caution and reservation.
Now, it seems the allegations are growing more serious. Read on to get the scoop.
Ant Anstead Reportedly Took Deposits From Major Clients & Failed To Deliver
Ant Anstead’s carmaker, Radford Motors, is facing bankruptcy, but it’s also up against serious lawsuits for fraud, misrepresentation, and more.
PEOPLE reports that Timothy Tasker filed a complaint in May 2024 that he paid Radford Motors a $101,000 deposit for a “limited edition Lotus-Radford Type 62-2” back in 2022. After meeting with Ant Anstead and another co-founder, Tasker claims they told him that he would receive the vehicles at the end of 2022 and throughout 2023.
But in October of 2023, he cited a “lack of progress” in the cars and asked for his money back from the company. Anstead reportedly promised a refund but then went on to ignore Tasker’s attempts to get in contact with him. As of 2024, Tasker allegedly still hasn’t received his refund.
And that’s not the only lawsuit of this kind. PEOPLE goes on to share details of subsequent incidents, with one car valued at $1 million.

The publication reports that both Scott Katzman and Lamborghini Palm Beach both ordered a Radford-Lotus. Katzman’s special edition cost $1 million while the Lamborghini dealership’s model was valued at $450,000.
“They claim Lamborghini Palm Beach made a series of payments from Oct. 2021 through Aug. 2023 totally $1,050,000 ($300,00 for the dealership’s car, and $750,000 towards Katzman’s).” PEOPLE writes. “After a series of delays and pushed back delivery dates, they claim, Radford proposed ‘a repayment schedule’ for the missing vehicles.”
According to the official filing, “Neither car has been delivered and no refund has been made.”
The Radford Motors Owner Issues His Official Statement
These lawsuits are incredibly serious, but Ant Anstead seems unbothered.
“Radford is implementing strategic organizational enhancements while maintaining full operational continuity. I remain fully committed to advancing Radford’s vision and growth. My role and dedication to Radford’s success continue unchanged,” the car enthusiast told PEOPLE in an official statement.
“Along with [cofounder and F1 champ] Jenson [Button], we maintain our foundational commitment to excellence that has defined Radford from day one. As founders, we understand the unique challenges that come with building a premium automotive brand, including the critical importance of having partners whose values and vision align completely with our mission,” he added.
