Wayne Brady Admits ‘Breaking Rules’ On ‘Let’s Make A Deal’
Wayne Brady always seems to have fun on Let’s Make a Deal. The game show host often jokes around with the contestants. He also sometimes gets his colleagues involved. On a recent episode, Brady switched things up on the episode and said he was breaking the rules and giving the contestant a chance at something different.
Here is what Brady did on Let’s Make a Deal.
Wayne Brady Breaks The Rules On Let’s Make a Deal
On a recent episode of Let’s Make a Deal, Wayne Brady interrupted the gameplay. Wayne then said that he would have an “in-show quickie deal.” He said if the player he calls up will give him something he asks for right there, he would give them $500.
“In the middle of the show? Unheard of,” announcer Jonathan Mangum said. Wayne admitted that it was against the rules, but he said he was “pushing up against conventions. There’s an edge I’m looking over it, and I’m going over” (via Instagram).
Brady joked that he was “reckless” and that no one could stop him. He joked that this was “why the Force kicked me off” and no one can stop him on this show. This led to him then looking into the audience and choosing a contestant to come up and try to win the $500.
Wayne Brady Offers A Contestant $500 For One Item
On Let’s Make a Deal, Wayne Brady called up someone named Chris “Merman” and made him an offer. After asking if he had a bag or wallet, Chris said he had a wallet. Wayne said that he would give Chris $500 if he had something in his wallet that ended in the number “5.”

Chris searched in his wallet and then handed one of his cards to Wayne. Brady looked at the card, made a bit of a production out of making sure it was real and not a fake ID, and then proclaimed that Chris had won the $500. After this happened, Wayne went back to the other contestant, who was in the middle of a game, and continued it.
Fans seemed to love the moment:
- “Best crew! So much fun!”
- “This show > family feud specifically with the 6 show big deal win streak it produced.”
- “WAYNE is the GOAT”
This is just one of many moments where Wayne Brady seems to stop things and offer up some unexpected fun on Let’s Make a Deal.
