Alison Sweeney Stars With Niall Matter In Hallmark’s This Time Each Year
Hallmark’s Miracles Of Christmas kicks off with This Time Each Year. This stars Alison Sweeney and Niall Matter. This is more than the kickoff. This is Alison’s 30th movie with the network.
Speaking to People Magazine, Ali revealed how surprised she was over this milestone. The 48-year-old star shared, “When they told me, I was shocked. I did not think it was 30 movies, so that’s amazing and exciting. I’m so proud of, especially that it’s This Time Each Year, because it shows the evolution of my experience and my relationship at Hallmark, and the growth that Hallmark has shown through the last decade.”
This movie is unlike anything Hallmark has ever done. This is the story of a couple that has been separated for nearly a year. He is coming up on his one-year of sobriety. There is nothing he wants more than to bring his family back together. However, there are some hard truths that she needs to acknowledged first.
Alison shared, “As much as we all love Christmas, Christmas can be a tension-filled thing for families.” But, everyone wants the holiday to be perfect. But, that may not happen. In addition, she believes that “a lot of people are going to relate to that.”
But, the McCall family, Kevin’s family, are so wonderful that it is hard not to love them. Therefore, this is a holiday movie that Hallmark has never done before. Moreover, she has spent over two years developing this movie.

Thankfully, Ben is coming home for Thanksgiving. Then they can stop texting and start planning. Alison admits that they could not be happier their son. “We’re living vicariously for him, letting him have this great new life out in Texas, and we’re thrilled for him.” Yet, she has not forgotten how excited he was for Christmas when he was a boy.
She recalled that when Ben was young, “Santa had transformed his room into a Star Wars room.” That was so magical that Ali revealed, “That is a memory I will treasure forever.”
