Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story has inspired a love story just in time for the holidays. Christmas in the Spotlight, which takes inspiration from the famous couple, will be part of Lifetime’s star-studded “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” lineup. The release date has been announced for the film, as well as streaming information.

Love, Music, & Football For The Holiday Season

The film doesn’t directly involve Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but presents a familiar love story involving a pop star and a football player. In the film, Jessica Lord plays Bowyn, a musician who has made a career singing about life. The irony is, however, that her music career has ended up getting in the way of her love life.

However, Bowyn might just find a chance at love when she meet a football player, Drew, backstage at one of her concerts, while with his niece. After the athlete publicly admits to having a crush on the singer, the two start a relationship. However, their careers could once again make love take a backseat.

The couple will face things ranging from conflicting schedules to the court of public opinion, with people thinking the relationship is just a publicity stunt. A press release reveals: “the pair has until the end of the holiday season to decide if they want to stay together, or let it go down in flames.”

As noted by People, very little has been revealed about the film, including its trailer. However, parts of the film can be glimpsed in a promotional video for Lifetime’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime.”

A TikTok Influencer Will Make Her TV Debut

Actress Jessica Lord will take on the role of Bowyn. Lord is also known for her roles in the series, The Next Step and Find Me in Paris.

Drew’s actor, Laith Wallschleger, has the right background for the role, as he actually is a former college and professional football player. As an actor, he also played retired NFL player Rob Gronkowski in American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez. Wallschleger also served as Gronkowski’s body-double for commericals.

Other cast members include Jeannie Mai, who will play Bowyn’s manager, and David Pinard, who plays the character Hudson. TikTok influencer Haley Kalil will also make her television debut, playing Nicole, Drew’s sister-in-law.

The film is expected to air on November 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. During the lineup, each of the new “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” films will premiere on a Saturday or Sunday.

After its cable premiere, the film is expected to be made available for TVE/VOD and the Lifetime Movie Club. Around this time, Lifetime is expected to stream various holiday titles on its website for the holiday season.
