Derek Hough’s Wife Loves His Chemistry With Phaedra Parks
Is there another showmance blossoming in the ballroom? Judge Derek Hough and contestant Phaedra Parks might be the newest romance that no one saw coming.
The biggest showmance of the season went to Gleb Savchenko and Brooks Nader, but they were eliminated at the end of Tuesday night’s episode. Derek and Phaedra may just be the new hot couple in town — and Derek’s wife Hayley Erbert Hough fully supports it.

Derek Hough & Phaedra Parks Enjoy Flirtatious Banter On DWTS
It’s not at all uncommon to see flirting on Dancing With The Stars. But not everyone picked up on the growing romantic tension between Derek Hough and Phaedra Parks. But Hayley Erbert Hough insists she’s just fine with it.
“Phaedra came up to Derek, and Val [Chmerkovskiy] was like, ‘She has the biggest crush on your husband.’ And I was like, ‘Who doesn’t?’” Hayley shared with Us Weekly after Tuesday night’s episode. “I love this little showmance that’s going on. And I just love Phaedra. So, I’m like, ‘Heck yeah, girl. Get in there.’”
The Houghs shared that they love watching The Traitors, which is where they became Phaedra Parks fans.
“We love that show so much,” Derek chimed in. “She was so great.”
According to Us Weekly, this epic showmance all began during the first episode of Season 33.

“You look incredible. You look fabulous, you really truly do,” Derek said after Val and Phaedra’s performance during the season premiere. “Oh, my goodness, I feel like I have to talk to you [with a deep, slow voice] the whole time. I just feel that energy between us. Sorry.”
Phaedra later admitted to the publication she finds Derek very “sexy.” But as for Val, the entire flirtatious banter apparently went over his head.
“I will go back and look at the tape and reassess the situation,” the dancer joked with Us Weekly.
Tuesday Marked Hayley Erbert Hough’s Return To DWTS
All jokes aside, DWTS fans love knowing that Hayley Erbert Hough has such a great support system in Dancing With The Stars. She and Derek took the stage Tuesday night to celebrate her grand return to the ballroom.
At the end of the dance, the entire ballroom gave Hayley a standing ovation, Phaedra Parks included. DWTS Season 33 may just be temporary, but it seems like this group is laying the foundation for life-long friendships.
