Artem Chigvintsev Hoping To Reunite With Nikki Garcia After Arrest
Napa Valley authorities arrested Artem Chigvintsev on domestic violence charges on August 29. Not long after, his wife, Nikki Garcia, filed for divorce. At first, Nikki requested privacy for her family while they faced these difficult circumstances. But when she filed for a restraining order against Artem, more details came out.
In Nikki’s restraining order, she cites that Artem Chigvintsev behaved incredibly violently toward her in front of their four-year-old son. At this point, a divorce seems inevitable.
But in spite of everything, a new report indicates Artem actually wants to reconcile with Nikki. Reuniting the family is important to him, despite the restraining order and domestic violence arrest.

Artem Chigvintsev Hopes To Avoid A Divorce
After Nikki Garcia filed a restraining order against Artem Chigvintsev, he fired back and shared his own side of the story. In his own account, he describes Nikki as the primary abuser. At this point, insiders indicate it’s largely a “he said, she said” situation.
No one seems to know exactly what happened, but insiders went on to claim that Nikki and Artem often were verbally abusive toward each other.
According to a new report, the Russian dancer doesn’t want to move forward with the divorce. He wants to mend fences with his ex-wife, but she reportedly isn’t interested.
“Artem has wanted to reconcile with Nikki. He doesn’t want the family to be divided, and [would love] to put this behind them,” an insider reportedly told Us Weekly, noting Nikki Garcia isn’t interested in that at all. “Nikki wants to move forward.”
However, the insider also added that Artem wants to respect his ex-wife’s wishes and boundaries. Despite his personal feelings, he allegedly just wants to do what she wants.
The Explosive Fight Broke Out Just Days After Their Anniversary
Fans can clearly see that the situation was quite volatile behind closed doors in Artem and Nikki’s home. But even so, they seemed to care quite a bit for one another. Just three days before authorities arrested Artem, Nikki shared a touching post to honor him on their anniversary.

Artem also posted on Instagram to commemorate their anniversary, writing, “Happy anniversary my love , can’t see my life with out you. You are my everything ❤️”
The dancer has not posted on Instagram since. However, his Instagram bio still says that he’s married to Nikki Garcia. She hasn’t completely scrubbed him from her own Instagram page, but fans noticed he showed up very infrequently over the last few months.
Artem Chigvintsev may want to reconcile, but that doesn’t seem likely at this point.
“There’s no going back. Nikki doesn’t even recognize Artem as the man she married,” an insider reportedly shared with Life & Style.
