‘Sister Wives’ Fans Livid Over TLC Erasing Garrison Brown
Sister Wives fans are livid over TLC essentially erasing the late Garrison Brown from Season 19 episodes. The son of Janelle and Kody Brown passed away in March 2024. Yet, the show was filmed beginning at the end of 2022. Still, any traces of him have been edited out and viewers are not happy with this. So, what are they saying? Keep reading for more details.
Sister Wives Fans Livid Over TLC Erasing Garrison Brown
When Garrison Brown passed away in March 2024, fans did not know how Sister Wives would go on. More so, they questioned how the show would address and handle his untimely passing. The son of Kody and Janelle Brown took his own life and was estranged from his father at the time. He long had struggled with his dad and challenged how he behaved. Kody had wanted Garrison and his brother, Gabe Brown thrown out of Janelle’s home during the pandemic. He felt they were acting dangerously but she refused to do that to them.
Garrison was saving up for a home, which he purchased in 2021, and was seen in Season 18 talking about having Gabe and his sister, Gwendlyn Brown move in with him. They also addressed the idea of how their father had abandoned them and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown could have him. With the show back and Garrison having passed, fans notice his absence. More than that, they feel that he has been erased. A Reddit thread was started and the OP wrote something that has since been deleted.

They shared how upset they were that Garrison Brown had been cut from the show. Furthermore, they added that they understood the need to protect him but it felt as though he had been erased. So, did fellow Sister Wives followers feel the same way?
- I think it would be too painful for the family to watch those clips.
- There’s a strong chance this was requested by the family, which I respect.
- It’s just not up to viewers of a reality show to determine if his family has “erased” him. We are not owed this tragedy.
Missing Moments
In the Sunday, October 13th episode of Sister Wives, there was a scene from a few seasons back. Janelle, Gabriel, Savanah, and Garrison Brown were all sitting outside and chatting. Yet, Garrison was cut from the scene but could be seen in the window reflection. It has also been questioned if scenes have been reshot in light of his passing. Kody and Robyn Brown got into a huge fight over reconnecting with his children. She felt that he needed to make more of an effort but he fought back. It appeared that the scene was filmed after Garrison passed for either one of two reasons.
Kody was either trying to make it look like he intended to make things right with his kids or he had said negative things about his sons. That would not work in light of tragedy so they had to make up for any scenes that would have been in poor taste.
Do you believe that removing Garrison from the season is right? Or, should they not act as if he never existed and make it the elephant in the room? Let us know in the comments and watch Sister Wives Sundays on TLC.
