‘Survivor 47’ Fans Are Tired Of The ‘Most Annoying’ Player Ever
Survivor 47 has been an interesting season so far. Although viewers are only a few weeks in, there have been a lot of surprises. However, one thing is certain. Fans are absolutely tired of Jerome “Rome” Cooney. The way he’s played the game just doesn’t sit right with many people watching at home. Continue reading to see why people think he might be the most annoying player in Survivor history.
Why Survivor Fans Love To Hate Rome Cooney
So far, viewers have seen that Rome enjoys being able to control the narrative with his tribe. Oftentimes, his personality is abrasive and he’s constantly bragging about how well he does things. For this reason, there are many people rooting against him.
In episode 4, Rome is seen doing everything he can to keep Solomon “Sol” Yi from finding a Hidden Immunity Idol. Survivor fans saw Rome find the first Idol at Lavo. He wound up using it at the third Tribal Council to make sure he went through to the next week.
Fast-forward to week four and Sol desperately wanted to find that Idol, but Rome made sure he was hovering over him the entire time. He also kind of bullied Sol a little bit. Rome told his fellow Survivor player that he’d get voted off if he didn’t give him his Shot in the Dark.
Fans Slam Rome On Social Media For Being An Annoying Bully
Overall, his playing style and the way he speaks to other people have annoyed viewers. They haven’t held back their criticism on social media.
- “Rome is probably the most annoying player in 47 seasons of #survivor and we are only 4 episodes into the season,” one person wrote on X.
- “If I was sol, and I punched rome in the face after this, jeff better not ask me why I did it #Survivor #Survivor47,” another person tweeted, upset about how Rome treated Sol.
- “Rome threatening sol: this is survivor bro.’ #survivor47,” a third shocked fan wrote.
- “Rome is literally such a bully I really hope they vote him out tonight #Survivor47,” a fourth hoped.
Several other fans shared their sentiment, with one person saying that Rome is “the most annoying person to ever play Survivor.”
Many people also felt bad for the way Sol was being treated in the latest episode. One person said that it seemed like his tribe was turning on him due to Rome’s influence.
Of course, Rome wasn’t sent home. Kishan Patel was the person who exited the game during episode 4. Now, next week, the Luvo tribe will be at a slight disadvantage. They are the only tribe with only four players.
Survivor airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. Previous episodes are available to stream on Paramount+.
