Hoda Kotb Reveals Daughter’s Current Health Status
Hoda Kotb revealed her daughter’s current health status. After her prior hospitalization, fans were worried about Kotb’s daughter, Hope. Now, they can find out the most recent situation.
Hoda Kotb’s Journey As A Famous Television Figure
Hoda Kotb is a broadcast journalist, television personality, and author. She has been on the TODAY show for nearly 3 decades. However, she has recently announced that she will be leaving the series in 2025. This announcement comes only a month after she moved her family from Manhattan NYC to Westchester.
Furthermore, the 60-year-old is a mom of two. She reportedly adopted her girls in 2017 and 2019. Her eldest daughter is Haley who is 7 and her youngest is Hope who is 5. Kotb was seemingly thrilled to get her kids out of the city environment so they could run “barefoot and on grass.”
The author was previously married for three years to Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008. Before she landed her job on The TODAY show, she was a reporter for the television news station Dateline NBC. Thankfully, Kotb found a home she seemed to enjoy at NBC’s TODAY for 26 years as she announced on the show with her departure.
Hope’s Hospitalization Update
Though Hoda Kotb never revealed her daughter, Hope’s illness, fans knew whatever it was had to be serious. The illness shock for Hope occurred in February 2023. In a recent interview, the author expressed that the family is “already seeing great differences.” Additionally, she notes that Hope has been “thriving” now after the issue began.
Moreover, on Wednesday it was posted that she revealed to PEOPLE that Hope, “is improving, we’re watching her, and I think that as time goes on, we’ll have a better handle on it.” Even though many people have had bad hospital and sickness situations, the journalist explained that Hope had “really excellent care” and there were a lot of “people… helping out” her and her family.
In addition, the author expressed the hope she has for the complete healing of her daughter. She declared, “I feel like she is finding steady footing.” Thankfully, her daughter is doing well which seems to bring about changes to the family’s life.
The decision to leave the show she has been on for so long seemed very difficult and emotional for Kotb, but perhaps this improvement in her daughter’s health made her want to spend as much time with her kids as possible.
Hoda Kotb Is Making Lifestyle Changes
It seems this decision did not come on suddenly for the TV personality. Kotb thought about this thoroughly and attributed her daughters and mother, Sameha Kotb for helping her make the difficult decision.
Allegedly, the host wrote a letter to her fellow workers where she explained that her children “need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie.” Time slips by for many people especially when raising kids as they grow up so fast. It seems Kotb wants to hold onto those moments as long as she can and will prioritize her kids over her job with no hesitation.
Additionally, her recent milestone birthday is partially responsible for the change. No one will be young and feel young forever, not even if they have good genes. It seems she is trying to hold onto the best parts of life as she gets older. The daytime Emmy winner expressed, “I’ve kind of been contemplating, wondering, thinking about what I wanted this next chunk of my life to look like as I turned 60. And I like adventure.”
Furthermore, the soon-to-be retiary explained her reevaluation of life and time. The journalist remarked, “I knew that I wanted this decade to be different. I looked at my time like a pie … and I wanted it to be filled with more of them.”
Thankfully, Hope is doing well and now she will get to spend time with her mother, Hoda Kotb as she retires. Stay tuned for more news like this at TVShowsAce.
