‘The View’ Fans Tell Joy Behar To Retire On Birthday

Joy Behar had a wonderful celebration on her 82nd birthday on The View. Joy’s co-hosts gave her well wishes, and it was a really nice moment. However, as is always the case with social media, people began to use it online to bash Joy on her birthday. Pople started saying it was time for her to retire.

Fans Want Joy Behar To Retire After Birthday Celebration

Joy Behar enjoyed her 82nd birthday this week. The celebration made its way to her talk show, The View. Like Whoopi Goldberg, Joy also works a shortened workweek and is off Mondays. However, she was there for her birthday celebration and showed that she is just as good at 82 as most people are at half her age.

However, many fans don’t see it that way. After the birthday celebration, many fans took to social media to demand that Joy retire. While Joy, Whoopi, and Sunny Hostin all have contracts up for renewal, there is concern some or all of them could leave after this season. For now, Joy seems to want to stay.

Fans, however, can be cruel on social media:

• “Joy it’s time to retire.”
• “Happy Birthday Joy. You are getting OLD. Time to retire dear.”
• “Somebody tell her to stop, this is not elderly abuse at this point.”

However, there were others who supported Joy and wished her well:

• “She’s one of the most youthful acting 82 year Olds I ever seen, not to mention how good she looks too.”
• “Joy is my absolute favorite TV host. Her success reminds me that outspoken and opinionated women are powerful and influential.”

Joy Behar Had A Tag Sale On Her Birthday

Getting past the people who couldn’t get over talking about her age. Joy Behar celebrated her birthday with a tag sale. She was raising money on her birthday to benefit The Retreat, an organization supporting domestic abuse victims.

She also took the time to talk to Nathan Lane, who showed up on The View to talk about his new Menendez Brothers feature. He also had something for Joy Behar. The two are longtime friends, and Nathan brought her a gag gift. He said she was a “hot Italian woman,” and he ordered her a “hot Italian pizza” – delivered by a male stripper.

Nathan Lane currently stars in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story on Netflix. Lane stars as Dominick Dunne, an investigative journalist who covered the Menendez brothers case.
