McEntire Talked Working With Real Life Love
Many fans first know McEntire through her music, such as her rendition of “Fancy” or her song, “I’m a Survivor.” Others might have first discovered the star through her eponymous sitcom, Reba, which used the latter song as its theme.
Since 2023, McEntire has also become known as a coach on The Voice. She also recently returned to the world of sitcoms with Happy’s Place. In the new series, McEntire plays Bobbie, a woman who inherits her late father’s bar, only to learn she’s sharing it with her long-lost half-sister, Isabella.
As noted by US Magazine, McEntire recently talked with Us Weekly about a lot of her current projects. The star shared how grateful she was with her current life, saying, “Oh my gosh, I’m grateful for everything.”
At this time in her life, McEntire noted that things are going really great in her life. As she summed it up, “I’ve got two great jobs. I have a love of my life, Rex Linn. We’ve been together for almost five years. And my health is good, his health is good. My family is healthy. What more could I ask for?”
Notably, McEntire and Linn work together on Happy’s Place. Highlighting her love life, McEntire noted that she and Linn had a lot in common. For example, they both grew up wanting to be a cowboy or cowgirl, only to end up in the entertainment industry. Describing Linn and her as “best friends,” she added, “Our dynamic works on and off-screen.”
The Star Is Happy As Part Of The NBC Family
McEntire is notably working on her new sitcom while coaching on The Voice. McEntire assured she embraces the challenge of working multiple projects. As she put it, “I think it’s a newfound strength. Once you’re confident in your love life, your at-home life, then you can go out and conquer the world.”
While talking her music careers, McEntire noted that she chose music that “[touched] my heart.” She noted that mentality also influenced her coaching style on The Voice. As she put it, “[Contestants] don’t have to have the perfect voice. They don’t have to be on pitch. They have to make me feel something.”
McEntire also discussed a recent moment in which she made fellow coach Snoop Dogg cry by nabbing a contestant. As she elaborated, “Oh, he’s a pussycat. He’s so much fun. And he does get very emotional. He gets involved. So yeah, I was handing him quite a few Kleenexes.”
The star also took the time to dispel any rumors she was planning on leaving the show, adding, “I love The Voice. I love being a part of the NBC family with Happy’s Place. I’m having the time of my life.”
