‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Upset Over Final Jeopardy Missed Clue

Jeopardy: Ken Jennings

A recent Jeopardy! segment left viewers upset, even more so because this situation went down at a critical point in the game. So, what happened with this situation that had viewers so annoyed?

Jeopardy! Back For New Season

Jeopardy! is back for an all-new season. The game show that is all about testing your knowledge and random trivia prowess kicked off Season 41 on September 9. This means that Ken Jennings is back to see which players have what it takes to become the next champion.

Of course, the long appeal of this game show is also the fact that Jeopardy! fans never quite know who has the potential to put an impressive winning streak together. Host Ken Jennings knows a thing or two about putting together impressive winning streaks, and some lucky people will get to do that this season, too.

Players Missed A Crucial Clue In Recent Scenes

As longtime Jeopardy! fans know, it’s one thing to know the answer to a clue when you’re watching comfortably at home from your couch. However, it can be completely different when you’re in the studio and in front of all of the bright lights.

Even so, that did not stop fans from roasting the recent panel of players, as all three missed a crucial final clue, and one that many viewers felt was a no-brainer at that.

When you get to this stage of the game, that final clue has the potential to change the entire outcome of who wins and loses based on who gets the right answer. Unfortunately, in recent scenes, none of the players got it right.

Jeopardy! Fans Roast Players For Missing Easy Clue

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings shared the final clue, saying: “In 1886 this brand’s bookkeeper came up with its name & flowing script logo, saying, ‘The two Cs would look well in advertising.'”

The correct answer was Coca-Cola, an answer that none of the players got correct, much to the outrage of many watchers that night. In fact, two contestants put down the answer: Coco Chanel.

Many Jeopardy! fans did not let this one go, as many believed this was a no-brainer clue. With that in mind, watchers were also not shy about letting the players have it over this easy miss.

  • One fan wrote: “I got this as soon as Ken mentioned flowing script, didn’t even need to hear about the double c’s.”
  • Another commenter said: “In the “I REALLY should have been able to get that” department… there’s some of the answer on the desk next to me!”
  • A third commenter chimed in, saying: “It is mind boggling that they all three did not get that one correct. Probably the easiest FJ question in a very long time.”
