Ryan Seacrest Needs Therapist, Can’t Deal With Comparisons
Ryan Seacrest is doing his best as he replaces Pat Sajak as the Wheel of Fortune host. While things got off to a hot start, with Seacrest’s debut blowing away Sajak’s ratings by a large scale, many fans still refuse to accept Ryan in the role. It is now starting to weigh on the new host.
Here is what Ryan is considering doing as the comparisons continue.
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Won’t Stop Comparing Ryan Seacrest To Pat Sajak
It seems like no matter what Ryan Seacrest does on Wheel of Fortune, the fans are finding a way to compare him to Pat Sajak. There was a recent episode where a woman lost out on $100,000. While she seemed dejected, Ryan joked with her and reminded her how much she had already won.
While it looked like he was trying to cheer her up, many fans took it the wrong way. Some people on social media said that Pat Sajak would have acted like the world had ended and mourned with the player. Ryan went with the idea that he could cheer her up. However, this caused fans to act like Ryan didn’t care that she lost.
This will continue to follow him as he continues as the host. No matter what he does, good or bad, many people will take it the wrong way every time and use it as ammunition to blast Ryan for his performance. This is starting to get Ryan down, as one source said he is taking criticism hard.
Ryan Seacrest came to Wheel of Fortune as a big fan of the show and considered it a dream job. However, thanks to fans, it has become a nightmare.
Ryan Seacrest Considering Therapy To Deal With Criticism
A source close to Seacrest said that the host is considering seeing a therapist to learn how to better deal with the criticism. While plenty of Wheel of Fortune fans are praising his performance on the show, it is easy for him to see the complaints and let those people get to him.
A source said that the dream job has become a nightmare for Ryan. “His self-esteem has taken a beating and he’s seeking therapy to build himself back up again,” the source said (via Closer Weekly). “He needs to talk things out with a professional who can offer him therapeutic neutrality.”
Ryan Seacrest filmed all the episodes people have seen so far over the summer, so it remains to be seen what changes he might make in the next tapings since the original criticisms started rolling in.
