Garth Brooks Accuser’s Horrifying Details Of Assault
Garth Brooks has been facing allegations of sexual assault and battery from his former hair and makeup artist. The anonymous woman filed the complaint in the state of California last week. Now, new deleted text messages have surfaced in the lawsuit against the singer. Keep reading to learn the details.
Horrifying Details From Lawsuit Against Garth Brooks
On Thursday, October 3, “Jane Roe” filed a complaint in the state of California against Garth Brooks. She alleges that the country music star brought her to Los Angeles with him for a Grammy event. When they arrived, she realized he’d only gotten one hotel room for both of them. Allegedly, when she asked for a separate room, he would not oblige.
The lawsuit states that Garth Brooks allegedly confronted her in the doorway naked. Then he brought her into the room, hung her upside down by the ankles, and then raped her. The country music icon is about 6 feet tall, while “Jane Roe” is allegedly only around 5 feet tall.
It continues, saying that Garth Brooks allegedly took off his clothes in front of her and touched her breasts. She also said that he made repeated sexual comments to her, even when she made it known that it made her uncomfortable. Jane also says that Garth’s wife, Trisha Yearwood, was complicit in his actions. At one point, he made sexual comments in front of his manager and Trisha.
There are deleted text messages involved in the case as well. Jane alleges that Garth sent her sexually explicit text messages. Later, he took her phone and deleted most of them.
Country Music Icon Says It’s A ‘Hush Money’ Shakedown
In Garth Brooks’ lawsuit against Jane Roe, he says that they worked together for 15 years until May 2020. During those years, she worked as an independent contractor. However, Garth alleges that she had some problems with her finances.
He said that he agreed to help her out of “loyalty, friendship, and a desire to improve” her life. The country music star says that, despite trying to help her, she just continued to demand more, including a salaried position and medical benefits.
When he didn’t agree to provide her with what she was asking for, Garth Brooks alleges that she threatened him with “false and outrageous” allegations of sexual misconduct.
Last week, he took to the stage for the first time since the allegations were made public. In anĀ Instagram post, Garth said that he “really needed this.” He further denied any of the allegations being made against him and has publicly announced that it is a shakedown for “hush money.”
In response, Jane Roe’s lawyer Douglas H. Wigdor said that Garth Brooks has made it known that he’s willing to pay millions to make it go away. “We are very confident in our case and over time the public will see his true character rather than his highly curated persona,” he said.
