“Garth is known to be a very kind and nice man, so these allegations are very shocking,” the insider said. “Everyone around him including Trisha and his daughters believe him to be telling the truth. Many around him think this is out of character and something he would never do. Everyone around him is shocked.”

They continued, stating that Garth Brooks cares about “his family and his fans.” The source added, “He is a family man and is very down to earth.”

The country music star was named in a complaint made on October 3. An anonymous woman has accused Garth Brooks of raping her in 2019 when she was apparently working as a hairstylist for him.

According to the claim, the hairstylist “Jane Roe” started working for Garth in 2017. She says that the country music legend sent her sexually explicit texts, exposed his genitals to her repeatedly, and frequently spoke about having a threesome with his wife.

Garth Brooks Speaks Out About Allegations Before Concert

Prior to Jane Roe filing the lawsuit against him, Garth Brooks attempted to file an anonymous complaint, prohibiting her from repeating the allegations. He had strongly denied that anything being said is true.

“Defendant’s allegations are not true,” the filing read. “Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, along with the unavoidable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood that would result if she made good on her threat to ‘publicly file’ her fabricated lawsuit.”

Garth has spoken out about the allegations as well. He said that he has been “hassled” by the woman with “threats, lies, and tragic tales” of what his future would look like. The country star alleges that she has been trying to blackmail him and get him to write a check for “many millions of dollars.”

“Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another,” he stated ahead of a concert. “We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides.”

No court dates have been set to address these allegations.
