‘WCTH’ Cast Reunites With Mamie Laverock After Tragic Fall
Actress Mamie Laverock has reunited with her When Calls the Heart cast-mates. The actress, who played Rosaleen Sullivan on the series, had suffered a fall from a five-story balcony back in May. Laverock had also previously kept fans updated about her recovery on social media.
The Reunion Had A Fitting Name
Laverock shared a photo of herself at Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event. While there, she could be seen reuniting with some of her When Calls the Heart cast-mates. The fan event took place from September 13-15 at Richmond’s Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport in British Columbia, Canada.
Having shared the post on Facebook, Laverock commented that “At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold. Returning to the warm light of the When Calls the Heart reunion,” adding, “I love you.”
The reunion was notable because, back in May, Laverock suffered a five-story fall from a balcony walkway back in May. As noted by People, the actress was left in critical condition from the fall and needed to be placed on life-support. Notably, she could be seen using a walker during the Hallmark event.
Talking with New York Post, Hallmark Media released the following statement upon the news of Laverock’s fall: “We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our ‘When Calls the Heart’ community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort and many prayers during this difficult time.”
Starting her career as a child actress, Laverock’s first role was the uncredited role of Bonnie in The Killing Game. For many, she is best known for playing Rosaleen Sullivan on When Calls the Heart. The daughter of Patrick and Molly Sullivan, the character lost her father in a mining accident at the start of the series. Initially appearing in the first two seasons, the character returns for the tenth season, where viewers see her pursue nursing school.
The Actress Kept Fans Posted About Her Recovery Process
Laverock also previously shared her return home on her Facebook page back three months after the fall. At the time the post shared the message, “Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie.”
The page responded to comments with updates on Laverock’s condition. As it wrote, “She’s still severely injured but we will take care of her privately.”
“She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
Earlier in her recovery process, the actress also shared her first steps since the fall. Surrounded by medical staff, Laverock shared a post that thanked her medical team. As she wrote, “Thank you surgeon’s, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps.”
