Who Does Travis Kelce Play In Horror Series ‘Grotesquerie’?
NFL football star turned aspiring actor Travis Kelce just made his TV debut. He is one of the many stars of the Ryan Murphy horror series Grotesquerie. Read on to find out everything you need to know about his character.
Who Does Travis Kelce Play In Grotesquerie?
Episode 3 of Grotesquerie introduces Travis, who plays the role of Ed Lachlan, a sweet-talking hospital orderly. He is assigned to care of Lois, a bold detective who is played by actress Niecy Nash.
The two quickly hit it off, and despite going to the hospital for her husband, Lois begins to fall for Ed. When she gets chained to her hospital bed, he takes off her handcuffs and help her flee the hospital. He leaves the building with her and they go out on a date.
Kelce’s character initially comes off as a caring, by-the-book medical professional. But, clearly, his romantic urges toward Lois are making him reckless.
The end of Episode 4 teases that he will be taking care of Lois’ daughter while Lois is out solving a murder case. Lois’ daughter seems to find Ed to be questionable. Will he end up being the murderer of this story? Only time will tell if Lachlan is only getting sweet with the detective to stay off of her radar.
Viewers Slam Travis’ Acting Skills
As soon as it was announced that Kelce would star in the show, the world erupted in criticism.
Have the minds of the public changed after seeing him on screen? The answer is no, not at all.
In a Reddit thread, viewers who just turned off his first episode, shared their opinions on his acting skills. Or in the eyes of most, the lack thereof. Here are a few of the comments:
- “He’s just dull and robotic. It’s like Travis was playing Travis.”
- “Y’all weren’t hating for no reason, he is so awful.”
- “Show is good but he CANNOT act. No inflection in his voice. Barely any expression changes.”
Kelce hasn’t responded to any of the backlash of his acting just yet.
What Is The Schedule Of Grotesquerie?
Grotesquerie is a limited series, totally to only ten episodes. After his first appearance in the third episode, it’s been confirmed that Kelce will be in the rest of the remaining episodes.
New episodes of the horror show will be released every Wednesday night, two episodes at a time, at 10 pm E.T.
The series finale is set to premiere on October 30, and the series as a whole is available to stream on Hulu.
