Ben Higgins Reveals Not Being Emotional During Wife’s Pregnancy
Former Bachelor Ben Higgins is opening up more about his daughter who will be making her debut in early 2025. In a recent episode of his podcast with Ashley Iaconetti, Ben noted that his emotions and hers are very different at this stage. What did he say? Keep reading to find out more.
Ben Higgins Talks Pregnancy And His Emotions
Bachelor Ben Higgins opened up about how things are going with Jess Clarke during her pregnancy. He shared details on the Almost Famous podcast. He shared that she just reached the halfway point. Things are going well and they just had their 20-week anatomy scan to see how the baby is growing.
Ben said, “Jess is fantastic … she has four months left. We just had our 20-week ultrasound, that’s the anatomy scan to check on everything. As of today, the baby is the size of a large banana. It’s pretty big.”
He went on to say that Jess is very emotional especially when it comes to seeing their daughter on the ultrasound. However, he also revealed that he has not felt those same emotions. He explained further. He said, “Mostly because at one point, I was like, ‘She’s so cute,’ and [Jess] was like, ‘That’s her stomach.’ Well, then I’m out of this. I have no clue what I’m looking at. This is just a bunch of different things happening at once.”
Although seeing the baby hasn’t been very emotional for him yet, he is very excited about becoming a girl dad. In fact, he often has talked about how he is such an emotional person and thinks it will be worse when their daughter is born.

Ashley Asked If He’s Nesting Yet
Ashley Iaconetti asked Ben Higgins if he had started nesting yet. He shared that he has. Ben said he’s already painted the nursery and is actually redoing their bathroom. He doesn’t want to wait until the end and be rushed to get everything done before her birth.
He also said, “I get emotional at times doing that because I’m like, ‘My baby girl’s gonna sleep in this one day.’ For the most part, I haven’t gotten very emotional yet.”
Ben said he’s worried about becoming a pile of mush and tears once she is born.
As for Jess, Ben said everyone can tell she’s pregnant now. They are expecting her to be born in February.
