‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Tries To Talk To Caleb From The Other Side
Losing a spouse is never easy. Although Tammy Slaton seems to be in a very resilient headspace these days, she’s still struggling with grief. As 1000-Lb Sisters fans recall, she lost her husband Caleb Willingham less than a year after their wedding.
However, Tammy is a big believer in the supernatural. Although Caleb passed away, she believes he might not necessarily be gone forever.
In the new season of 1000-Lb Sisters, she will attempt to contact his spirit and send him an important message. Read on to get the scoop.
Tammy Slaton Tries To Contact The Dead
Caleb and Tammy Willingham met in rehab and a romantic relationship quickly blossomed. However, Tammy made progress in her journey and was able to leave rehab. Sadly, Caleb didn’t and ultimately passed away at the medical facility.
“When Caleb first passed away, I had all kinds of questions,” Tammy shares in a confessional. “I had all kinds of things I wanted to say. I didn’t hate him, but I was really upset with him for dying on me and leaving me a widow. And now I’m like, I can’t be mad at him. It’s not his fault.”
She added that now, she just wants to thank him for the memories they shared. In the new season, she will try to contact him in the afterlife.
“Tammy has an app that’s kind of like a radio. And when a ghost communicates, it takes all the static and makes it into words that you can understand,” her sister Amy explains in the footage. “Some of it’s white noise like static, some of it’s actual names, so you never know what you’re going to get.”
The sisters then attempt to contact Caleb’s spirit. However, Tammy soon starts panicking after believing she heard her name on the app.
“I have to be careful because I don’t want any evil spirits in my house,” the TLC star shares.
The TLC Star Fondly Remembers Her Late Husband
1000-Lb Sisters touched on Caleb’s death onscreen. However, it could never truly capture how Tammy felt about losing her husband.
“He was my best friend and I loved him dearly,” Tammy Slaton told PEOPLE immediately after Caleb’s passing. “When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
