Steven wanted Alina to convert to Mormonism. But before she made her decision, Steven confessed that he had been unfaithful to her multiple times. One of his ex-girlfriends even warned Alina about him. But she didn’t let his past affect their future. Alina chose to stay with him. This led to many 90 Day Fiance fans predicting that the two wouldn’t last and that Alina would end up brokenhearted. They remained silent on social media for over a year, putting their status in question. But the married couple surprised their followers after returning with a major update.
Alina & Steven Are Now Residents In Foreign Country
In an Instagram post, Alina shared updates with Steven after a long social media hiatus. According to the 90 Day Fiance star, they’ve been living in China for 3 months now. She then revealed that they’ve been looking for a place to call home, adding that they’re unsure if they’re going to settle in Türkiye. They traveled for six months while waiting for her U.S. visa. But they eventually decided it was time to settle down, and they chose China to be their new home.
Alina Johnston also said that they separated for a while to gather all the documents needed to become a permanent resident in China. “But the wait was worth it—I finally got my Chinese residency permit! Now, here we are, embracing this new chapter!” she added.

Alina and Steven Johnston are excited to share their new chapter in China. It’s unclear if they’re going to document it through vlogging or social media posts. However, some fans think it’s also a great opportunity for them to have TLC document their lives in a foreign country.
