Mariska Hargitay appeared on Today on Tuesday, and she was there to talk about her 26th season on Law & Order: SVU. However, Mariska also wanted to talk about something different. She had some kind words to say to Hoda Kotb in regards to the host announcing last week she was leaving the daytime talk show.
“I love you. I love you so much and I am so proud and inspired by you,” Mariska said (via PEOPLE). Mariska and Hoda are both 60 and she brought up how big it is that they have come up together and made it to the top of their professions.
“I was so excited to see you today, and I’m so grateful to be able to say that,” Mariska said. “Because you know — we’re 26 years together, baby, and we’re 60 together — and so when you made your decision, I said ‘Yes.'”
She then said that she would “grieve” for everyone who would miss seeing her every day. She then looked at Savannah Guthrie and said this includes grieving for her. Hoda was emotional at this point, taking Mariska’s hands and telling her that she loved her.
