‘DWTS’ Daniella Karagach Reveals Tragic Pregnancy Loss
Daniella Karagach is a fan-favorite professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars. While preparing for upcoming performances on Season 33, she took some time to address a very serious issue that affects families all over the world.
Like many other dancers on DWTS, Daniella shared her personal struggle with a miscarriage. Fans feel for the dancer but are so thankful she chose to speak up. See what she had to say.
Pasha Pashkov & Daniella Karagach Suffered A Tragic Miscarriage
Daniella and her husband Pasha Pashkov were so excited to learn they were expecting during the summer of 2022. But just five weeks into her pregnancy, she tragically suffered a miscarriage.
“I just remember one day I was pregnant, and then the next day I wasn’t,” the professional dancer shared with Good Morning America. “And I just remember like, falling to the floor [and was] like, ‘I can’t believe this happened to me.'”
Although the situation is still painful for Daniella to talk about, she wanted to share her story in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month in October.
“I want people to know they’re not alone, and a lot of people are going through the same thing,” Daniella added, sharing that she and Pasha felt scared to speak up and ask for help. “We didn’t really want to have anyone judge us, you know, and tell us things we didn’t want to hear.”

“If it was one day or a week, or five months, or three months, or one month, or whatever the timeline was, like, it was still a loss for me, and it was a huge loss,” the Season 30 champion continued. “It was a baby, you know. So it was something we’ve wanted and pictured ourselves [with].”
The Pashkovs Want To Help Couples Struggling With Pregnancy Loss
But throughout the grieving process, Daniella admits her husband Pasha was her rock.
“Pasha really got me out of that, like state, and he was obviously grieving with me, and it wasn’t easy to talk about at the moment, but he got me out of a really bad place,” she shared. “And we just truly believe that we need to trust and if it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen at the right time.”
The couple put their family planning on pause to focus on Dancing With The Stars. But just a few months after the loss, Daniella found out she was pregnant just a few weeks into DWTS Season 31. Pasha and Daniella’s daughter, Nikita Sophia Pashkova, was born on May 30, 2023.
Daniella and Pasha are so thankful to have their baby girl. But they also want to share their story to let others know they aren’t alone during this dark chapter.
“No matter what anyone says, a loss is a loss, and it’s hard, it’s really hard, and you’re grieving, but you don’t have to blame yourself for it, because there’s nothing you can do or you could have done if you’re going through this that could have been your it’s not your fault,” the dancer continued.
