Why isn’t a new episode of DWTS on tonight, Tuesday, October 1st? It is only two episodes in and now, there is no new episode to be found so what is the reason? More so, when will it be back on and what is on in its place? Keep reading for more details on where the show is.
Why Isn’t A New Episode Of DWTS On Tonight, October 1st?
It is only three weeks into Season 33 of DWTS and already, the show is not going on. The new season has been filled with all kinds of excitement. Fans predicted that RHOA star Phaedra Parks might be the first eliminated based on numbers. She had the lowest number of likes on her Instagram promo photo, right behind Eric Roberts. Therefore, a Reddit thread estimated she would leave during the first elimination. In the comments, that did not seem to be the case and it was unclear who would be leaving.
Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart ended up with the lowest scores so it was presumed that he would leave. Yet, there was a double elimination in week two so no one was safe. With the week one and week two scores combined, it was anybody’s game. By the end of the night, Tori Spelling and Anna Delvey were both sent home. Tori was brokenhearted as she had turned down the show 32 times and this was her dream. However, Anna told hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro she was taking nothing with her from the show.
After all of that drama, why isn’t DWTS on tonight? It is because of the Vice Presidential Debate between Senator JD Vance and Governor Tim Walz. This will be airing on all major networks starting at 9 pm EST and will last around an hour and a half. With DWTS starting at 8 pm EST, it lasts two hours so there is no way it would have worked. So, how will the reality dancing competition make it up to viewers? They have something special up their sleeves.
Two Episode Week
To make up for the fact that there is no episode this week, there will be two episodes next week. On Monday, October 7th, it will be “Soul Train Night.” Then, on Tuesday, October 8th, it will be “Hair Metal Night.” So, a double dose of DWTS should hopefully be more than enough for diehard fans. Despite the preemption, viewers are still posting their love for the cast on social media:
