Julie Chrisley Forced To Take The Long Route Back To Prison
Julie Chrisley is en route back to prison following her resentencing hearing last week. The Chrisley Knows Best star seems to be taking the long way back to FMC Lexington, where she will serve the remainder of her sentence. It could possibly take Julie up to 60 days to be back in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) custody. Here is what we know about Julie’s resentencing and her upcoming travel back to Kentucky.
Savannah Lashes Out Following Julie’s Resentencing
Todd and Julie Chrisley were first sentenced to 19 years combined in prison in 2022 for bank fraud and tax evasion. They immediately began the appeals process. The couple reported to prison in January 2023.
As fans know, Julie Chrisley attended her resentencing hearing in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 25. The court previously vacated Julie’s sentence due to insufficient evidence that the reality star was involved in the crimes prior to 2007.
However, the judge ruled to keep Julie’s sentence the same. She received the same initial 84-month sentence that she received in 2022. Of course, there will be reductions for good behavior and her sentence was already reduced by 14 months. As far as the court is concerned though, the seven-year sentence was adequate for what she was convicted of.
This came as a shock to her daughter, Savannah Chrisley, who thought that she’d receive some additional time off from her sentence. Savannah also publicly slammed the judge and prosecutor outside the courthouse following the hearing last week.
The Chrisley Knows Best star said the judge chastised her in court, stating that she’d been lying to Chloe and Grayson Chrisley about when Julie would be coming home. Upon leaving the courtroom, Savannah Chrisley called the prosecution “uneducated.”
Julie Chrisley On The Long Road Back To Lexington
Now, fans think that Savannah’s words may have had an impact on Julie Chrisley behind bars. As previously reported, Julie was forced to take the long way to her hearing in Atlanta. She spent around 45 days on the road, give or take. This is something that wardens allegedly do to inmates who complain too much.
Savannah has been extremely vocal about “injustice” in the prison system since her parents have been incarcerated. Many people believe that her comments have impacted how her mom and dad are being treated.
Fans believe that Savannah is continuing to get her mom, Julie Chrisley, in trouble. One person took to Reddit to discuss it. They wrote, “I noticed they are sending JC back to Kentucky via the long route.. it must be the same route she took to Georgia. She’s still not in BOP custody. One day Sassy will learn to keep her mouth shut but until then, enjoy the ride, Jules.”
It could potentially take up to 60 days for Julie Chrisley to return to FMC Lexington in Kentucky.

The justice system needs overhauled. why is it ok to treat people like that. Totally uncivilized. I thought the justice system was supposed to have integrity. Instead it seems to be all about torture . If you treated someone like that not in custody you’d be guilty of a hate crime.
Look we found Sassy’s burner 🙂
It’s very wrong for the justice system to take things out on Julie when she isn’t the one saying these things. She can’t help what her daughter says. I mean the justice system is being very childish by taking it out on Julie. They need to understand that she cannot control her daughter. I mean she’s behind bars and she’s not with her daughter when she’s saying these things and even in the court, she can’t control her daughter. I mean her daughter is of age and her daughter is going to say what she wants to say. I know cause I have children that are in all over 30 years old myself, and they’re gonna say what they wanna say. If that’s the kind of justice system we have then our justice system is broken because you don’t treat people that way. By the way, what happened to? They didn’t have enough evidence with her. I wanna know why she’s been going back to prison. Did they just decide to throw her back to prison because of what her daughter said I mean she could have a large lawsuit against them! She needs to look into that maybe her daughter should look into that? I think maybe she’s being railroaded! Like I said girl a young teenage girl then Julie and Todd should not be in prison. Maybe they should get away with what they done well Julie for one they don’t have anything on her. They’re just mad because of what her daughter is saying but shouldn’t be in prison. Trump can get away with what he’s getting away with he’s done a lot worse.
The government is crooked!! The Chrissleys are Republicans the judges are Democrats!! Oh yes they are taking that out on them!!! I hope Trump gets in!!!! HE WILL PARDON THEM!!!
It’s simply outrageous it might take 60 days for Julie Chrisley to be transported from Atlanta back to Kentucky! We are probably also paying at least 4 guards to travel with her. What a waste of money and manpower! Whoever is running our prison system needs to be fired for total incompetence!
I agree our justice system is broken just like our government is there is to much injustice in our country for us to say we live in a great nation. You have people in government that shouldn’t be allowed in government because they are not for the American people they are for there pocket books. Our tax money should stay in our country. The same with justice system. You have people in the justice system who don’t belong in the justice system because they still put people behind bars without any proof or evidence some one says something and right there without evidence they are put in prison and the investigation doesn’t earn their money because they go by what someone else says well not right it’s injustice. So if you have no proof then their daughter should sue the government and justice system because imprisonment without evidence or proof. If you want proof of anything going wrong then investigate our government because they send our tax money to other countries without the taxpayers permission who paid the money in. We have people here in our country that are homeless and yet our government gives land owners permission to go up on rent when they should be helping the people out. So we need to do something about our justice system and our government. They should have to sign a document stating that everything that they promised to do before election then they should have a year to do it no more than two years or if they refuse then they should not be allowed in government same as the justice system they should be held accountable if no evidence on some one they shouldn’t go to jail without evidence
