Julianne Hough Pays Tribute To Late Dogs With Touching Funeral
Losing a beloved pet can be an exceptionally difficult time in a person’s life. Five years ago, Dancing With The Stars hostess Julianne Hough lost her two dogs at the same time.
Back then, she remained quiet about the cause of death. Recently, she shared that a coyote attack tragically took the lives of her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Harley and Lexi.
On the five-year anniversary of their death, the dancer shared heartbreaking photos from the funeral she held for them. See what she shared.
Julianne Hough Remembers Her Sweet Pets, Harley & Lexi
In an interview with The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Julianne Hough revealed her dogs were killed during an incredibly vulnerable time in her life. She just separated from her husband Brooks Laich when the attack happened.
“I felt so out of integrity or out of like, alignment,” the dancer shared. “My dogs that represented unconditional love and safety — gone.”
Even after all this time, Lexi and Harley are still on her heart. She commemorated the heartbreaking anniversary with photos from their funeral.
“September 28th, 2019 🕊️” the DWTS hostess shared on Instagram. I love you Lexi and Harley ❤️ Hard to believe it’s been 5 years without you in this 3D world.”
“I think of them often and my heart still aches from that traumatic day. These pictures of memories brings a huge smile to my face. Lexi‘s squishy face” and Harley’s ‘crazy hair,’” her older brother Derek wrote in the comments. “Love them dearly. Love you sis ❤️”
Several other Hough family members shared their favorite memories of the dogs and left kind words for Julianne.

The Dancer Welcomed Another Pet Into Her Heart
Although losing Lexi and Harley was incredibly traumatic, Julianne Hough did go on to love another dog. She adopted a puppy named Sunny, who can frequently be spotted in Julianne’s Instagram posts.
