‘Jersey Shore’ Mike Sorrentino Opening Addiction Treatment Centers
When fans think of Jersey Shore, they usually imagine partying and lots of alcohol. Mike Sorrentino lived that life to the fullest. Sorrentino admitted in 2012 that he struggled with addiction issues that also included oxycodone and cocaine. Now, he is setting up a plan to help others.
Here is what The Situation is doing now as he prepares to work with other addicts.
Mike Sorrentino Plans ‘Door To Door’ Interventions
Mike Sorrentino said that he wants to help other people suffering from addiction issues find a way to the other side. He even said he has a plan to do “door-to-door” interventions with addicts and is opening his own treatment centers.
“We’re going to start to go door to door, OK? We’re going to be doing interventions, and we’re going to be course-correcting addicts’ lives away from active addiction and into recovery,” Mike said (via Page Six).
Mike admitted that “it’s getting serious” and said, “I’m getting on the frontlines.”
Sorrentino has let addiction issues hurt his life for a long time. In 2014, he was arrested for assault after getting into a fight and had to complete a 12-week anger management program. Two years before that, he admitted his addiction issues. He said he entered rehab in Utah and began to work on his sobriety.
Mike said he has been sober now since December 2015. In a 2023 interview, Mike said he would always have drugs on him, including oxycodone, Percocets, Xanax, Valium, and cocaine (via Entertainment Tonight).
Now eight years sober, Mike wants to help others.
Mike Sorrentino Opening Treatment Centers
While Mike Sorrentino said he plans to go door to door, he also said he is opening his own addiction and mental health treatment centers. He and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, co-founded the Archangel Centers.
“Against all odds, I turned my life around,” Mike said. ““Today, I’m happily married with three amazing kids, a published author, nine years sober, and about to launch my own treatment centers… I put in the work, never gave up, and now my story is someone else’s roadmap to survival.”

Mike said that the first Archangel Center, part of the Ascend Behavioral Health Network, will open in 2025 in New Jersey. He then referred to himself as “Saint Michael the Archangel,” and he said this was his comeback.
Sorrentino also said he is getting a tattoo of Saint Michael the Archangel on his shoulder to celebrate the center’s launch.
