Jon Gosselin Breaks Silence After Abuse Claims, Supports Collin
Jon Gosselin said he is tired of sitting quietly while his son Collin and his ex-wife Kate Gosselin continue to have problems. Collin has accused his mother of what amounts to child abuse when he was a child, and she still claims he deserves to be locked up and not let out.
Now, Jon said he is tired of being “gagged” by Kate, and he plans to let everyone know what really happened to his son at the hands of his ex-wife.
Jon Gosselin Promises To Tell All About Kate & Collin
While Collin Gosselin has not spoken to his mother in years, Kate Gosselin still took it upon herself to openly criticize him in the last year. Even after graduating from high school with honors and joining the Marine Corps, Kate made a social media post saying he was dangerous and should be locked away.
This led the Marines to look into his institutionalization as a child and discharge him as a result. Kate had Collin locked away when he was 11. She left him there for three years before he finally got word to his dad about where he was. His dad got custody and had him released.
In a recent interview, Collin said his mother would zip-tie his hands and feet and lock him in a basement room with only a bed and a camera. He said when he started telling his teachers what his mom was doing, that is when she had him diagnosed with four different mental afflictions and had him institutionalized.
In the same interview, Collin released his personal medical records that show he does not have any of the conditions his mother diagnosed him with. Kate has not responded to these allegations. However, her former attorney said she did what she felt was best for her other kids.
Now, Jon Gosselin is threatening to tell all.
Jon Gosselin Has Already Said The Basement Room Exists
Jon Gosselin said the basement room with the bed and the lock on the outside of the door exists. The people who bought the house from Kate reached out to him and asked about the room. Jon said Hannah confirmed Collin was isolated and locked away from his siblings as a young child.
Now, Jon said he plans to discuss the situation more. Jon said Collin is still waiting to hear back from the Marines following their investigation. Collin has also started college at Penn State (via TMZ). “He’s doing really well. He’s just moving forward past everything that happened to him,” Jon said.
Jon feels they need to tell their side of the story, and he plans to start a podcast one day. “I have a lot to say about what I’ve learned. And, plus, I was gagged for so long that there are missing pieces in my story,” Jon said.

Colin needs to heal from the abuse he endured, and the only way to heal is by talking about it with a therapist. Pandora’s box needs to be opened and he has to deal with every issue. After all the issues are heard and dealt with you close the box and never open it again. It’s in the past and behind you Praying that Colin will find peace.
