Heated Texts Between Kanye West & Diddy Resurface

Kanye West and Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Several rappers have come out against Sean “Diddy” Combs since his arrest last week. 50 Cent pointed out that he never attended any of “Puffy’s parties.” Now, texts between Kanye West and the Bad Boy Records owner have resurfaced. There was clearly beef between the two of them. So, what went down? Keep reading to find out.

Kanye West Shades Diddy In Recent Lyrics

Diddy was brought into custody on September 16. He is currently facing racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

It seems like many people in Hollywood knew what was happening at Diddy’s house long before it was made public. Kanye West hinted at the disgraced rapper’s crimes in lyrics to one of his recent songs.

In the song “Carnival,” which also features Ty Dollar $ign and Rich the Kid, Kanye seemingly put Diddy in the same category as R. Kelly and Bill Cosby. He raps, “Now I’m Ye-Kelly, b***h, now, I’m Bill Cosby, b***h. Now, I’m Puff Daddy rich that’s ‘Me Too’ me rich.”

R. Kelly was sentenced to more than 30 years in prison in 2022. He was convicted of a number of crimes, which included sex trafficking, child pornography, and kidnapping. Bill Cosby was also convicted of sexual assault in 2018 but had his conviction overturned in 2021.

Heated Texts Between Ye & Diddy Resurface

That said, it isn’t the first time Kanye has given the middle finger to Diddy. The pair have not had a great relationship through the years. An Instagram account recently reminded fans of an exchange between Ye and Puff Daddy that happened two years ago.

The screenshots of the messages were originally posted on social media by Kanye. Their conversation seemed from Ye wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt, but the messages quickly took a turn.

Diddy reached out to Kanye first, writing, “As soon as I land we’ll meet face to face!!! Send me a address.” Kanye’s response was less-than-friendly.

He responded, “F***K YOU,” before continuing, “I didn’t like our convo. I’m selling these tees. Nobody gets in between me and my money.”

A confusing line from Kanye reads, “This is my grandfather texting you now. Never call me with no bt like that again unless you ready to-green light me.

“Cause anybody who got on that tee is me. Out of respect for everything you’ve meant to me l’ll be quiet as Virgil. But now I know how I’ve hurt peopie I love with threats. Come do something illegal to me noooow pleeeeeeeeease.”

In his response, Diddy claimed that he was just trying to talk to Ye “as a black man” because he felt like he was hurting people in the community.

Kanye West didn’t budge in his reply. He wrote, “Anything you text I will post” before telling the disgraced rapper “I love you.” Again, Diddy tried to reassure Kanye that he shouldn’t feel threatened, but Kanye essentially told him to get lost, telling him, “I told you this was war.”

As more details are coming out, there are some celebrities that seem to have close ties to Diddy, but Kanye West certainly isn’t one of them.
