Julie Chrisley appeared in court on Wednesday, September 25, for her resentencing hearing. The Chrisley Knows Best star was resentenced to the same 84 months she initially received. However, fans were interested to hear reports of how Julie looked when she walked into the courtroom. Keep reading to see what they’re saying about Julie’s unrecognizable look.

Julie Chrisley Sported Brown Hair In Court

The Chrisley Knows Best star appeared before a judge at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in downtown Atlanta. In the end, the judge ruled that her original punishment was sufficient.

Savannah Chrisley and Chase Chrisley were both in the courtroom for the hearing, but Julie didn’t look like her normal self.

Julie Chrisley is known for her Southern charm and big blonde hair. In court on Wednesday, she sported brown hair and looked nothing like she did on television. During her appearance, she took a moment to address the court. In tears, she apologized for what she did to land herself in prison. Julie also addressed her children, apologizing to them for what they’ve had to go through as a result of her actions.

“I would like to say I’ve had years to think about what I’ve wanted to say and I’m sorry for my actions and situations that led us to where we are today,” the reality TV icon said. “I’ve had 20 months in prison, but it has been much more leading up to the trial and I apologize for my actions that led to where we are today,”

“I have done everything I can do to get closer to my family. I’ve taken tests for new skills, such as driving a forklift and serving food in proper ways … this has been the most difficult part of my life. I can’t ever repay my children for what they’ve had to go through and for that, I am so sorry,” she concluded.

No Photos Of Julie From Court On Wednesday

Chrisley fans took to Reddit to discuss the outcome of Julie’s court appearance as well as her new look.

  • “It’s easier for her to colour her hair than highlights,” one Reddit user pointed out, referring to resources available in prison.
  • “Well PEOPLE needs to publish an image! Lol,” another person wrote, hoping to see a photo of Julie in court.
  • A third person chimed in, “I’m hoping TMZ will drop one. Lol.”
  • “Brown hair huh…guess she wasn’t a true blonde like they all want to portray,” a fourth laughed.

Unfortunately for people who are curious, there won’t be any photos of Julie in the courtroom. Federal court does not permit photos or videos of the inmates in court. There could potentially be a drawing released, but that is the most people will see.

As fans know, Julie Chrisley initially received a seven-year sentence in November 2022 for fraud and tax evasion. Her husband, Todd Chrisley, was hit with a 12-year sentence.

They immediately began appealing their case in December 2022, but both reality TV stars had to report for their prison sentences in January 2023. In April 2024, a judge granted Julie’s appeal, and her sentence was vacated due to insufficient evidence. Todd’s sentence, on the other hand, was upheld.

  1. praying for this family!
look at all these people who have come into our Country ….killing people. raping young girls. kill people driving car because they don’t know how! just look at hunter biden he has done 1000 times WORST than they the chrisleys did! they taken everything from them! ISN’T THAT ENOUGH?

    1. Why bring Hunter Biden or Donald Trumps crimes into this? No matter how nice you think this family are they committed crimes and got caught.

    2. OMG, you’ve got to be kidding me Marie! Hunter Biden has been tried & convicted of his crime also. All the rest is just DT speak.

      1. Yes, so sick of all this political talk. I met a Canadian woman on a cruise and she couldn’t believe how Americans are so obsessed with this political stuff. She says that in Canada, you discuss politics just before an election and not again until the next election.

    3. Hell, all that you are saying was going on before anyone was brought into our country. Why wasn’t it important then. Now we want to point fingers. Look at your news or read your paper. Same crimes and more of it going on by good ole American Citizens.

    4. So, they shouldn’t be punished at all? The money that the banks and other financial institutions lose is passed on to us! Just because they are funny and cute on TV, they have raised their children with the idea that this financial fraud is ok. Not good people. They are criminals! Look at the facts, not the personalities.

    5. your statement is absolutely ridiculous. they were tried convicted and need to serve the sentence. trump is next, how about that?

  2. I think that her punishment, went to easy.Bet you if they were any other people would have to do all, the time that’s is mandatory, but nothing like that,.I think is a slap on the face, to all the honest people in the U.S.IN my words, you got money you can commit any fraud. The laws is for some people. Others will not be treated as well as they have been. 🤨

  3. No one gets this type of punishment, look up all the politicians who has served no TIME! Trump has done nothing but he gets brought into court several times! Dirty, dishonest judicial system for sure! Rapist and serious criminal offenders are not even serving time!

    1. I was sure hoping Julie was coming home soon. This is devastating to the family and all of us here at home who love them.they will get through this. it’s just sad .

  4. This is what Greed gets you. The Chrisleys are $30 Million criminals. And they got caught. They had a pretty good gig going with the show. But nope. They wanted ( not needed) more. my question is…what, why and who at the Lending Instutions loaned them a total of $30 million Fradulent dollars? was everyone asleep at the switch? Nobody doing background checks? How many years did it take to accumulate $30 million in loans? and what in the world were the Chrisleys doing with the money?? Besides ” living large” and flying across the country to get their hair done? Those ” poor” kids. The bank slammed shut on them. I guess? No more handouts from mom and dad. I have to pay my taxes and report my earnings, what I own. so do you. Why are they so special that they don’t have to do that like the rest of the ” little people “. Are they exempt because they are stars of a TV show? I guess the answer to that is No. See. It all goes back to greed.

    1. Mona, very well said and I also fully agree with you. They had a very good and very much so comfortable life. Yet sadly they got greedy. Now they have to pay the price. Yes they are probably being made an example of but I mean the bottom line is they broke the law and have to do their time. Just like Martha Stewart had to as well do her time so shall they. Sorry they don’t like the punishment and the amount of time they have to serve but they should’ve thought about that when they were being selfish. Sorry but there are so many out there trying to make ends meant and can barely pay rent or a mortgage yet they went out of their way to hide what they did. I mean sure I loved their show, and truly hate that their kids and family are as well suffering from their actions. That being said though, it’s finally good to see that regardless of your social status if you commit a crime you will be caught, charged and punished.

  5. I kind of feel sorry for Savannah who is still so deluded that she believes her parents have been unjustly jailed. I mean it seems like her mother was pretty much finally taking some responsibility for what she did, so maybe Savannah can stop kidding herself that her parents will somehow magically be released from prison.

The fact is they’re both hypocrites. They tried to make it like they were these “God Fearing” good Christians when the truth is the only thing that mattered to them was how much money they had and they were perfectly fine with tossing their Christian values straight out the window if it meant accumulating more fancy things.

I have not an ounce of sympathy for either of them. The only one who really deserves any sympathy is the little girl they adopted who is now being raised by her sister who should never have been put in the position to have to raise her siblings when she’s barely an adult herself.
