Reba McEntire has only been on The Voice for three seasons. However, she accomplished something no one had done in the reality singing competition series. During this week’s show, she took the first-ever Coach Replay, which shook up the other coaches.

Here is what the Coach Replay is and what Reba did.

Reba McEntire First To Ever Use Coach Replay On The Voice

This season, two newcomers and two returning coaches are on The Voice. Reba McEntire is back for her third season in a row. Gwen Stefani is back after skipping a season. Michael Buble, who has mentored before, is now working as a coach. Finally, Snoop Dogg is a newcomer.

This season also introduced something new to the show: a Coach Replay. Each coach gets one during Blind Auditions. This is used when a coach doesn’t turn around but decides that they made a mistake and wants to go for the singer anyway.

Reba regretted not turning her chair for Kendall Eugene when he sang “Don’t Think Jesus,” which had all the judges praising him. However, while all the judges were amazed at his singing, none of them turned their chairs. It seemed strange that everyone thought he was good, but no one gave him a chance.

That ended when Reba McEntire decided to use the Coach Replay and take him on. “We’ve got this new thing this year, that is a Coach Replay button. I’m going to use mine,” Reba said. She used hers on Kendall.

Snoop Dogg said he also regretted not turning. However, he said he wouldn’t use his because he felt Reba deserved this one. He then told Reba to hug her new team member. “I knew in my heart I wanted him on my team,” Reba said.

What Happened In The Voice Premiere

The Voice Season 26 premiered on September 23 and saw the two returning coaches working against the two newcomers. The episode was fun and breezy, thanks in large part to the arrival of Snoop Dogg.

The first week saw the coaches start to fill up their teams evenly. Only two singers from the first night went home without being chosen.

After nighe 1, RMichael Buble had two singers (Sofronio Vasquez and Kiara Vega). Gwen Stefani had two singers (Jan Dan and Sydney Sterlace). Thanks to her Coach Replay, Reba McEntire had two (Danny Joseph and Kendall Eugene). Finally, it was Snoop Dogg who had the most singers after night one with three. He ended up with Jake Tankersley, Torre Blake, and ChrisDeo.

Do you like the new Coach Replay on The Voice? Was it nice to see Reba McEntire save Kendall Eugene after no one turned for his performance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
