TV personality Julie Chrisley, best known for Chrisley Knows Best, has reacted to her recent resentencing in her fraud case. The case had previously been sent to a lower court, giving Chrisley a chance at a new sentence. Julie and her husband Todd have been the subject of fraud and tax evasion charges since 2019.

The Case Was Previously Sent To A Lower Court

Chrisley was resentenced with the judge determining that her 84-month sentence was sufficient. She was shown to be in tears in response to the verdict, apologizing both for what she had done and to her children. Two of Chrisley’s children, Savannah and Chase, were at the courtroom during the resentencing.

Both Julie and her real estate tycoon husband Todd became known through the reality series Chrisley Knows Best. Airing from 2014 to 2023, the series revolved around their family in Atlanta, before moving to Nashville.

Back in June, judges of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed there was a lack of evidence in the case. According to Us Weekly, court documents claimed that, “After careful consideration, and with the benefit of oral argument, we affirm the district court on all issues except for the loss amount attributed to Julie.” As it continued, “The district court did not identify the evidence it relied on to hold Julie accountable for losses incurred before 2007, and we cannot independently find it in the record.”

Julie & Todd Chrisley Were Indicted Back In 2019

Thanks to the ruling, the case for sent to a lower court. As the documents continued, “So we vacate Julie’s sentence and remand solely for the district court to make the factual findings and calculations necessary to determine loss, restitution and forfeiture as to Julie and to resentence her accordingly.”

According to Us Weekly, Chrisley’s legal team claimed that “The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals reversed Ms. Chrisley’s sentencing and remanded the case for her to be resentenced. Noting it was “not a dismissal of the case,” it was hoped the decision “will result in [a] new sentence conforming with the Appeals’ Court’s instructions.”

  1. you know, thinks like your going through to me seems so wrong,I don’t know if your guilty or not,but in any case don’t believe for a crime such as this you should have to make resolution another way .You obviously are very intelligent so you could work your way out of that I believe our prison system is so broken they need prison but for people who actually murder, rapest, things of this nature but people sometimes particularly poor people get lost in the system with no chance of recovering I truly feel bad for you.prayers

  2. I think it’s a disgrace what is being done to the Christleys. I know of many different cases of someone hitting and killing someone with their car and taking off and getting a fraction of the sentence the Christleys received!

  3. I am very sad and disappointed with the judge she needs to be home with her children she is not a murderer the sentence was supposed to be shortened so why did they let her come to court in the first place this is evil the judge probably have issues she doesn’t have a heart this is very messed up, Julie stay strong in the lord and in the power of his might.

  4. Altho things were done wrong financially on there part I don’t believe that that sentence should have been given to either of them yes they should do time but dammmmm that’s crazy there’s a little girl who was adopted by her grandparents who’s father is MIA and is not stable and here comes the system and takes it away from her again this judge has no mercy I’m not saying she should not make time she did the crime she does the time but a reasonable amount for fraud she did not kill anyone she did 21 months already let her go to house arrest and see her children grow because once you miss that part of there lives you don’t get that back it’s gone forever her granddaughter first time prom her sons prom her sons first time driving her granddaughters first time doing anything and missing is heart breaking that judge needs to reinstate her decision because it seems like that pathetic judge has no heart I’m sure she’s a mom and should understand the purpose of her and her children bonding life is short and loosing this is crazy to me I’m so sorry Julie praying for you everyday that you get a smaller sentencing

  5. These people put the “T” in WHITE TRASH!! She thinks she should get special treatment because now they have “money”! This world may be screwed up, however, there is no way this bunch would ever be considered “classy”. Ugh!

    1. and bitch you think your classy. you don’t know shit about these people. even with them having a TV show that’s doesn’t mean you know these ppl. and the way the federal system is anyone can get time for anything now days ghost dope just talking hell a peanut butter sandwich can get indict. don’t believe me look it up. I really feel bad for them and you should be concerned too. Cause what just took place is not right they basically took the freedom of speech away when basically its proven that in a court of law they said that they didn’t have enough to even convict her for one year so time should have been automatically took off her sentence. and not same sentence cause of her daughter using her freedom of speech and the judge disregarded her freedom of speech to use her power to hurt Julie by showing us the judge has complete control of everything that she can go against the correct way or the right way of handling the situation that their own people dropped the ball and sentenced her to time that shouldn’t even been allowed. but by giving her the same sentence and we all know why case Savanna has been out preaching nothing but the truth expressing her freedom of speech. only to get that used against her mother. and you wanna come make a stupid comment about white trash having a little bit of money. look I am as white trash as it gets and I don’t have money nor do I have class. and tbh if classy is what you think you are I don’t want any part of it. but I think you need to understand a few things before you jump to saying stupid shit. that’s your freedom of speech now but with that comment maybe down the road it will come back and be used against you in some sort of way. And then will you think it will new fair to you. I really hope you read this and let this sink in cause if this comment does come back to you a few years or whenever down the road you will remember this post on your stupid comment.sorry if that wasn’t classy enough. but for me I think I was too classy depending on the words I really wanted to use against your comment.

  6. I think the media is giving the Christleys what they want attention. I am sure there is other prisoners that have far more interesting stories. Ti’s family is has been and fakes. find new more genuine people!!!! If you like criminals there is plenty in prison get there stories.
