Extreme Makeover Eduardo Xol Suffers Brutal Death At 58
The one thing about Extreme Makeover was it was all about helping people. Usually, the folks who needed new homes had lost everything or were severely devastated. Then, Ty Pennington and his amazing crew would swoop in and give them their dream home, fixing everything like magic. First, of course, they would all scream, “Move that bus” before unveiling their handiwork. In Season 2 of the hit ABC reality series, Eduardo Xol came on to do the landscaping which was not always an easy feat. Everyone was an artist and he was no exception.
After being there from Seasons 2 through 8, Eduardo seemingly exited but he had a passion for performing. He was a singer and also a writer. Eduardo had two books, Home Sense and Extreme Entertaining Made Simple, with the latter including a CD he created. Yet, he was also a philanthropist, very dedicated to the Lupus community. It was his sister who had been living with the chronic autoimmune disease. Therefore, it was very close to Eduardo’s heart. Sadly, his life was just taken from him at the age of 58, according to People.
Eduardo Xol was stabbed at his apartment and called the police in the early hours of Tuesday, September 10th. He shared that he needed help so the police immediately headed over. When they arrived at his apartment, he had multiple stab wounds and succumbed to them ten days later. Eduardo passed away on Friday, September 20th. Richard Joseph Gonzales was allegedly linked to the stabbing and has since been charged with murder. The two men were supposedly “associates” yet how they knew or worked together is unclear.
Broken Up
Eduardo Xol’s family is brokenhearted over this and released a statement after he passed:
“We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of our beloved Eduardo Xol. As his family, we know that his kindness has touched the lives of so many. We ask for that kindness returned now allowing our privacy to be respected as we process our grief. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Eduardo’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America as he spent so much of his life in the service of others.”
