‘The Voice’ Fans Worry About Michael Bublé After Premiere
Acclaimed singer Michael Bublé has recently taken on a new role as a coach on The Voice. Starting with the 26th season, Bublé has joined a few other famous singers to help guide some new talent. However, the singer has gotten his fans worried about him after the season’s premiere.
Fans Think First-Day Jitters Got To Bublé
Bublé is known for songs like “Feeling Good,” “Haven’t Met You Yet,” “Home,” as well as his covers of classic Christmas songs. The Canadian singer-songwriter is especially known for incorporating elements of, and helping to promote, more classic, traditional pop.
With the new season, Bublé will perform his coaching duties alongside Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, and Reba McEntire. During his first day on set, Bublé could be seen taking some medication.
With the premiere, the coaches each seemed to take an interest in vocalist Sydney Sterlace. However, Bublé was the first to turn his chair around. Of course, the other coaches followed soon after and each tried to persuade Sterlace to choose them.
During the scene, Bublé could eventually be seen taking a strip of Claritin. While it’s unclear why Bublé had Claritin on hand, some fans suspect the stress of the show’s first episode got to him.
In a statement with TV Insider, the new coach admitted that “I was really nervous to do the show.” As he continued, “But from what I hear from the crew that’s been there all 14 years, is that there’s been nothing like this [group of coaches].”
The Singer Has Already Called Himself The Show’s ‘Future Winner’
However, Bublé assured the publication that he feels the new coaching panel is going to work well together. As he explained, “We’re just a group that gelled and really complement each other, really liked each other. I think it’s a special thing, and I really can’t wait for people to see it. I think they’re going have a tremendous time watching.”
Bublé also assured that he already enjoyed working on the series. He even admitted the first taping was a family affair. As he put it, “It’s intense. But it’s the best job I’ve ever had.”
As Bublé continued, “My mom and dad came today to see the first taping, and they were like, ‘This is the greatest show on earth.’ It’s electric.” Notably, on Instagram, Bublé wrote that he’d be the show’s “future winner.”
The singer also continued that he hopes his coaching technique helps others reach their potential with a gentle, encouraging way. As he added, “It’s not a game for me. And I know it’s a competition, but there’s nothing funny about someone’s dream, you know? I take it very seriously.”
