Celebrities get asked for autographs at some of the most unusual places. Most of the time, when they are at work backstage, they don’t have to worry about it. However, backstage at Good Morning America, someone asked Robin Roberts for an autograph, and she was taken aback. It wasn’t the request, though. It was what they wanted her to sign.

Here is a look at what happened backstage at Good Morning America.

Robin Roberts Asked To Autograph Old Photo On GMA

Robin Roberts was in her dressing room backstage at Good Morning America. While she was there, someone shot a video of someone (unseen) showing up at her dressing room door with a request. They asked her to sign her autograph on a photograph of her.

However, there was a problem. This was a very old photograph of Robin. “Hey Robin, could you sign this for me?” the person asked as they handed the photo to the daytime talk show host. Robin uneasily said “OK” and then took one look at it and seemed confused.

“Seriously?” Robin asked as she looked at the photo. It was a photo of her as a child, with braided pigtails and a blue jacket over a white turtleneck sweater. She had no idea what to say and just kept saying, “mmm.” She then asked, “Do I have to? Hmmm.”

She then signed the photo and said to her younger self, “Wooo! Child. If you only knew what was coming up. If you only knew.” After signing the photo, she told the person, “Here. Go on git, Go on git. That’s what I used to say when I looked like that. Go on git.”

All The Good Morning America Hosts Got The Same Deal

This wasn’t just about Robin Roberts. The autograph seeker also had childhood pictures of George Stephanopoulos and Ginger Zee to get autographed as well.

For George, he just started laughing when he saw his photo. He laughed and pointed out his hair as he signed the photo. As for Ginger Zee, she was dressed up like a cheerleader in her childhood photo. “Oh boy, “Ginger said. “Is it for you? Dear Sam, you are the captain, too.”

Fans loved the moment, flocking into the comments:

  • “Look at Robin with all that hair… I love this”
  • “I felt that Robin!! I have a few pics like that myself”
  • “I felt that Robin! If that lil girl only knew”

What are your thoughts on the bit with the childhood photos? What did you think about Robin Roberts’s reaction to her younger self and her comment about “things to come?” Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
