‘DWTS’ Maks Chmerkovskiy Livid, Says Anna Delvey ‘Sh*tty Dancer’
Although Maks Chmerkovskiy is no longer a regular face on Dancing With The Stars, viewers still love and adore him. He was a pro dancer on the show for 17 seasons, so he certainly understands the competition and what it takes to go the distance.
Maks’ family members Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson are competing for the Mirrorball Trophy this year, so Maks is tuned in. And he doesn’t approve at all of Anna Delvey being part of the cast.
Maks Chmerkovskiy Doesn’t Believe Anna Delvey Deserves Her Place
In a new interview with TMZ, Maks Chmerkovskiy didn’t hold back when it came to his thoughts on Anna Delvey. He even asserted that he found her dancing atrocious. But at the end of the day, DWTS casts celebrities who will spark conversations.
“So those are the kind of qualities you put together. And then there’s like, ‘OK, so who’s going to draw attention?’ And now you’re talking about someone like an Anna character, right?” the father of three shared with TMZ. “So my struggle here … I can see both sides. I can also be on the production side and I can be on the viewer side and understand it all. But if you want an ankle [bracelet] and sort of this, ‘Damn, this is going to draw attention,’ and the scandalousness of it all – I mean, there’s so many other people you can choose from.”
The interviewers asked Maks if he was a fan of Anna Delvey. He promptly replied that he wasn’t and went on to call her a “professional liar.”
“You’re gonna bring that person [on stage] and say, ‘Here’s a platform that a lot of people waited their entire actual career to be a part of,’ to also get a moment of a personal story [where they] can say, ‘This is who I actually am.’ Will I believe anything this lady says? Absolutely not,” the Ukrainian dancer firmly stated.

Others Have Slammed The Con Artist As Well
Of course, Maks Chmerkovskiy isn’t the only one who spoke out against Anna Delvey’s involvement with DWTS. Whoopi Goldberg and the other stars of The View also slammed the con artist.
Numerous Dancing With The Stars fans also thought it was in poor taste to cast Delvey this year. Her poor attitude on the dance floor and bedazzled ankle bracelet certainly didn’t win her any more fans.
