Hoda Kotb is settling into her new home in the suburbs of New York. As the Today host gets used to her new digs, some of her co-stars are visiting her. Here are the rather humorous details of Savannah Guthrie’s visit to Hoda’s house.

Hoda Kotb Talks About Her Visit With Savannah Guthrie

On Sunday, September 15, Hoda Kotb shared some photos from Savannah Guthrie’s visit to her house. She shared a selfie alongside her Today co-star as well as a snapshot of them along with Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, and their children.

Savannah shares two children with her husband. They have a daughter, Vale, 10, and a son, Charley, 7. Hoda has two daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, who she shares with her ex-fiance Joel Schiffman.

Hoda Kotb captioned the post simply, “Home.” Savannah Guthrie quickly took to the comments where she wrote, “Where so much heart is,” followed by three heart emojis.

During the Monday, September 16, episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, Hoda talked about entertaining in her house for the first time. She admitted that she and her daughters were panicking about what to serve when their guests arrived.

“Hope, initially, got bowls and started putting in carrots and blueberries, in just random bowls and was gonna leave them out,” she told Jenna Bush Hager. “And Haley was like, ‘No, that’s not right,’ so they put all that in the freezer, for unknown reasons.’”

Then, Hoda Kotb remember they received a box of cupcakes from one of her new neighbors. “[The box was] too big, so I just put it in the oven and shut it and forgot about it,” she said. “Guess what we served? The kids go, ‘The cupcakes!’ We put them out, we put them on plates, we made lemonade, Hope put mint in it and we had a little spread.”

Before Moving, Hoda Didn’t Enjoy Having Company

Jenna joked that Hoda is relatively new at entertaining in her home. She admitted that she “used to panic” when her doorbell rang in her NYC apartment. However, now she’s more excited about having people over.

“Our front door is already open. It’s just a screen,” she shared. “‘Ding dong,’ a woman came over. She was like, ‘I live across the street. Here’s a pie and here’s my daughter. She’s in high school. Hi!’ She met the kids. You know what I said? ‘Come inside! Come in!’ This is all awesome.”

As they wrapped up the conversation about her first houseguests, Jenna pointed out that Hoda typically doesn’t like to have company in her home for more than about 30 minutes. However, her good friend Savannah was already aware of this.

“She was like, ‘We’re coming and going,’” Hoda Kotb said. “They came in, they ate some cupcakes, they walked around, the kids were on the swings for, like, 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘Alright, it’s time to go, kids!’”

Continuing to poke fun at her co-host, Jenna said, “I mean, I was there for about three minutes, so 30 [minutes], she might as well have spent the weekend.”

Hoda first announced that she was moving outside of the city in March. Speaking with Jenna, she fawned over her new home and location. She reminisced about being able to walk her daughters to school “like normal people,” Hoda said. “It was awesome.”
