George Clooney Ghosted Jennifer Aniston, Why?
Why did George Clooney ghost Jennifer Aniston this summer? The two have been good friends for quite some time, but he left her out among others and it did not go ignored.
Is Jennifer Aniston Losing Friends?
Jennifer Aniston is a very well-known actor who is best known for starring in the TV show Friends as Rachel. Additionally, the 55-year-old actress has been in many films, including with Adam Sandler. With him she acted in, Just Go With It and Murder Mystery which recently got a sequel on Netflix.
She has previously been married to fellow actors Brad Pitt (2000-2005) and Justin Theroux (2015-2018). The Emmy winner is currently single with no kids.
After being in the industry so long, it makes sense that Aniston would have friends in the business. One well-known actor she is friends with, other than Adam Sandler, is George Clooney. The two did a drama short film together, Waiting For Woody back in 1998.
A source told In Touch, that things don’t seem as friendly between the two actors as they used to be. Additionally, it seemed to come very unexpectedly to Aniston.
Did George Ghost Her?
The source revealed that “George still says the nicest things about Jen, but the cold reality is that he rarely sees her anymore, and she was counting on an invite to visit him and Amal [Clooney] in Lake Como this summer that just hasn’t come.”
The source continued that Aniston was there last year and had a great time and there was all sorts of talk about doing it again this year and now the summer has come and gone without a word about it.
It seems Aniston tries to avoid conflict or keep the peace as the source categorized the actor as someone who is “not the type to bring it up.” However, Aniston was sad to see that she wasn’t invited, but her ex-husband Brad Pitt was.
The source identified the fact that Brad and George are closer at this point and “Brad has essentially taken her spot, or at least that’s how it looks to her.”
As their divorce was years ago, the two appear to be on good terms so not inviting her because of Brad would not make sense as an excuse for Clooney’s actions. Additionally, the source revealed that Aniston is not alone in her ghosting.
Location On The Pecking Order
The source named Julia Roberts who also “didn’t get an invite for a summer visit.” She starred alongside Clooney in Ticket To Paradise in just 2022. Furthermore, the two have been friends for ages as they met in 2000 before even starring in Ocean’s Eleven together. Roberts even disclosed to Kimmel how they were “instant friends.”
The source did not seem to be Clooney’s biggest fan as they expressed that “George has a very selective social pecking order, it’s something that people take note of and talk about, and certainly people have noticed that both Jen and Julia have dropped off from his inner circle.”
Even though Jennifer Aniston isn’t alone in being excluded, it makes sense that she is hurt. The source made it clear that Aniston is “not likely to confront him or rant or rave about it, but it’s definitely a big dent to her ego because she really thought her friendship with George was a lot more special than it turned out to be.”
The source closed out by saying that Aniston, “feels pretty ghosted.” It seems this sort of action still happens in the actor world even after being friends for what feels like a lifetime.
It is especially sad and shocking because when Aniston was on The Drew Barrymore Show with Adam Sandler in March 2023, she raved about her time at George and Amal’s Lake Como house. Additionally, she shared how she and Sandler had pizza with George and his family while filming abroad for Murder Mystery 2.
