‘Golden Bachelorette’ Star Michael Stevens Hopes To Fall In Love
The Golden Bachelorette has kicked off its inaugural season and many viewers are wondering about the various men vying for Joan Vassos’s love. One of the 24 men lined up is Michael Stevens. Who Is Michael Stevens?
Michael Stevens is one of the 24 men competing for Joan’s love in Season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette. He is from Denver, North Carolina, but he is originally from Lake Norman area. Michael is the only competitor from North Carolina.
His bio boasts a kind and creative person who enjoys learning new things. As a retired bank CEO, Michael has a lot of free time. The 65-year-old also apparently likes to read, watch movies, and enjoys trips to the botanical gardens in Chicago.
That said, The Golden Bachelorette contestant isn’t a bore. He is a self-described “Swiftie” and shared that he went to Lollapalooza three times at the age of 50.
Although he is currently living in NC, Michael is a native of Oak Lawn, Illinois. After graduating high school, he went on to attend Northwestern University. Before relocating down south, he served as the CEO at Pioneer State Bank. Then, he took on the position of CEO at NBE Bancshares Inc.
According to his bio for The Golden Bachelorette, Michael is ready to meet the right person. He hopes it will be 61-year-old school admin and grandmother Joan Vassos.
When it comes to his approach to dating, Michael said that he doesn’t like to talk much. Instead, he tries to make an effort to really listen to the other person. He is excited about getting a second chance at love on the reality show.
His bio also revealed that he is a father to two sons, Matt and Scott. Like his dad, Matt graduated from Northwestern University. Both of his sons hope that their dad can find love again.
Will Michael Be A Fit For The Golden Bachelorette?
For Joan’s part, she has been upfront about what she’s looking for in a man. “I’m very picky about a man being a gentleman,” she told People. “Somebody with a big heart, somebody who is generous and also somebody who’s humble.”
Like Michael, she values higher education. She went to the University of Maryland and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Now, she is a school administrator.
Of course, fans know that Joan also appeared on the first season of The Golden Bachelor. However, she wound up having to go home early due to a family emergency. Joan has four children and two grandchildren.
