Gabby Windey revealed that her girlfriend, Robby Hoffman, wants to get engaged but the former Bachelorette star keeps putting it off. Keep reading to find out why.
Bachelorette Alum Opens Up About Living With Partner For First Time
Gabby Windey came out as queer in a bombshell interview on The View last summer. It was a surprise to Bachelor Nation fans because she previously pursued men on The Bachelor and then as Bachelorette in a joint season with Rachel Recchia.
In fact, Gabby was briefly engaged to suitor Erich Schwer. At the time, she said the engagement ended because they didn’t have the same goals and weren’t each other’s best matches.
Despite being engaged to Erich, the two never lived together. Gabby Windey told Us Weekly that she’d never lived with a partner before until now. Her girlfriend, Robby Hoffman, recently moved in. The reality star admitted that it was an adjustment for both of them.
“There’s an adjustment period [that] I feel, which I wasn’t expecting. I just thought it would feel normal and regular. But, you know, she needs to get settled ’cause we moved into my place. So, she’s unpacking and stuff and I’m like, ‘Don’t you wanna hang out with me?’ But, she’s getting settled.”
However, the cohabitation is going well so far. The Bachelorette star gushed, “I love waking up in the morning to her. I’m gonna sound like such a sap and a romantic … but I love seeing her first thing in the morning. I’m always, like, peeking in on her if we’re not in the same room. I just like her next to me.”
Despite teasing fans that she was about to propose to Robby, Gabby told Us Weekly that she isn’t in any rush to get engaged again.

Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman took the next step in their relationship. But if it were up to Robby, they would already be engaged. Gabby confessed to the outlet that Robby wanted to get engaged months ago.
But the Bachelorette star doesn’t want to rush into another engagement. She explained, “It’s nice to kind of do things at your own pace and really listen to yourself and know that there doesn’t have to be pressure.”

Gabby added that she feels she’s “destined to be together forever” with her comedian girlfriend. She thinks the proposal will happen naturally. “We’re both so busy in our careers [and] have other good distractions and other things to work on. It just feels really balanced.”
