‘America’s Got Talent’ Massive Ratings Drop Ahead Of Finale
America’s Got Talent headed into its finals week on Tuesday night. However, the show got some bad news when the viewership totals came in. While the competitors this year are as good as ever, it seems not all fans are as interested in seeing these finalists. The ratings show a big dip as the season comes to an end.
Here is how many people tuned in to the start of AGT finals week.
America’s Got Talent Sees Drop In Ratings For Finals
America’s Got Talent finals have a nice mix of competitors this season. There are singers, magicians, dance teams, performance artists, and even a drone team. However, despite the big competitors, fewer people are watching the show now than when the season began.
The America’s Got Talent finals took place on September 17, and the viewers voted for their favorite acts. Next week, the show will award the grand prize to the competitor with the most votes. However, there might be fewer votes than normal because viewership for the finals was down quite a bit.
The AGT Season 19 premiere on May 28 saw 5.119 million viewers tune in to start watching the opening acts. The show peaked at 5.383 million for the June 4 episode. However, the final competition only had a viewership of 4.710 million households.
This means the numbers are down over 400,000 viewers from the premiere and 600,000 from the most-watched episode of the season. This is also less than last season when over six million people tuned in for the premiere. The numbers might be down because the season ended up broken up, with weeks off during the Olympics and a pre-empting by the Presidential Debate.

The America’s Got Talent finalists include Sebastian and Sonia, Sky Elements, Airfootworks, Hakuna Matata Acrobats, DeeDee Simon, Solange Kardinaly, Brent Street, Learnmore Jonasi, Richard Goodall, and the duo Roni Sagi and Rhythm.

Four of those finalists received Golden Buzzers to reach the finals. The other six were voted on by the audience at home. There are plenty of people on social media who have already chosen their favorites to win it all this year.
