Is Nancy Lee Grahn Leaving ‘GH’ Amid Alexis’ Legal Woes?
Nancy Lee Grahn has been playing legal eagle Alexis Davis on General Hospital since 1996. She previously played fan-favorite Julia Wainwright Capwell on Santa Barbara from 1985 until it was canceled in 1993. The actress is currently involved in a front-burner storyline but fans are worried that she’s leaving the show amid Alexis facing a long prison sentence. Keep reading for more on the rumors.
Is Nancy Lee Grahn Leaving GH?
Alexis Davis is in hot water in Port Charles. The character was recently arrested for the murder of Agent John “Jagger” Cates. Viewers know that Sonny is the one who actually committed the murder. However, the disgraced lawyer was caught dumping the weapon over a bridge into the water below. She wasn’t protecting Sonny, though. Rather, she has suspicions that her and Sonny’s daughter, Kristina, may have been the one to take out the FBI agent after he arrested her for attempting to murder Ava.
The legal eagle appeared before a judge in a recent episode but was denied bail. That means she’s off the GH‘s Pentonville prison until her trial. With several shocking comings and goings in the last few months, fans are concerned that Nancy Lee Grahn could leave the show if Alexis is convicted and gets a long sentence.
Jonathan Jackson recently returned as Lucky Spencer. Actress Alexa Havins will make her GH debut as comatose Lulu Spencer. Rick Hearst returned as Ric Lansing, Alexis’ ex-husband and father to her other daughter, Molly.
Several media outlets noted that neither the actress or ABC announced her exit. Furthermore, it’s unlikely for her to leave when the Davis family is involved in a huge storyline on the soap.
Fans Think Saving Alexis Is How Sam Dies
Another shocking exit happening soon is Kelly Monaco’s departure as Sam McCall. News broke last month that the actress was let go after over two decades on the soap opera. Many fans think the show plans to kill Sam McCall off and now fans think they know how Alexis’ third daughter dies.
Sam McCall will do anything she can to clear her mother’s name. That includes diving into the choppy waters to retrieve the gun for it to be tested. Sam has a history as a private investigator who will do anything to follow a lead.
One GH fan took to Twitter to share a clip between Sam (temporarily played by Lindsay Hartley) and Dante about her plan to go diving for the gun. While Dante tried to discourage her, he knew that there was no use trying to stop her.

Lol so now “Sam” is an expert diver, more so than FBI diving teams where that’s their only job, how effing ridiculous outside the fact that nowhere in the history of Samantha since 2003 has she been in a diving situation as an expert. Once again, the writers and I’m talking the writers not Frank Valentini the show runner, has no respect for the viewers then to just make up crap that’s never happened in the last 21 years that we’ve watched the show Sam McCall is a lot of things and I mean a lot of not good things, but she has never ever in the history of the Lore of General Hospital has she ever been a diving expert or even seen her in the water, And if the storyline is that she was saving Alexis by diving and finding a gun and throwing it up on the banks of the black Canyon river or whatever it’s called and that’s disprove that Alexis did it, How, a water soaked gun will have no information on it no fingerprints no anything else truly in the water even for a minute all that would’ve washed away. What really should happen is time to prove it and so does Alexis is fake and she ends up in prison forever and hopefully, transfer the one out of state so we don’t have to look at her or NLG ever again .
I don’t know if I would say I’ve heard Sam referred as a scuba expert.
But over the years, I’ve seen her searching Jas on or maybe even a few other people that have fallen off the pier.
So Sam a scuba expert?
I can’t say is un heard of.
