Travis Kelce is making his television debut in the upcoming series Grotesquerie, and his co-stars are weighing in on his acting skills.

Travis Kelce’s Role On Grotesquerie Remains A Mystery

In May, it was announced that Travis, currently in-season playing tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, would appear in Ryan Murphy’s next mystery for FX, Grotesquerie.

Known to enjoy the spotlight, it’s shocking that Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, hit podcast host, and reigning NFL champion has yet to appear on scripted TV.

But that will all change when Grotesquerie premieres later this month.

While FX has released the cast, description, and trailer, Travis’ role remains a mystery.

On the show’s official site, the majority of the cast is listed with their characters’ names, but not Travis. He is listed last, and it just says “Travis Kelce” without a character name.

Travis Kelce’s Co-Star Praises His Acting Skills

At the Los Angeles premiere of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Travis’ Grotesquerie co-star Nicolas Chavez opened up about working with the New Heights podcast host.

“He has such an exciting character in this show, and I think that people should be looking forward to seeing Travis shine because guy’s a star,” said Chavez told People.

Nicolas added that he “really enjoyed getting to know” him on set.

As for his acting ability, he shared, “He handled the material like a pro. He’s awesome.”

“He’s a friendly and cool guy.”

Niecy Nash Betts Claims Fans ‘Are Gonna Love’ Travis’ Performance

On the red carpet for the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Niecy Nash-Betts was asked about working with Travis on Grotesquerie.

Niecy said, “I think the audience is really gonna love him in the series. He did such a good job.”

“Every time I see another scene or another episode, I text him, I’m like, ‘You did it again. You came through again,'” she added.

The duo seemingly grew tight on set, with Niecy posting pics and reels with Travis on social media.

Grotesquerie tells the story of Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy) as she investigates a series of crimes that seem “eerily personal as if someone—or something—is taunting her,” according to the official synopsis.

Alongside Travis and Niecy, Nicolas plays Father Charlie, Courtney B. Vance plays Marshall Tryon, Lesley Manville plays Nurse Redd, Micaela Diamond plays Sister Megan, and Raven Goodwin plays Merritt Tryon.

Fans can catch Travis in Grotesquerie when the show premieres September 25, 2024, on FX.
