Meet The 10 ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 19 Finalists
America’s Got Talent starts its finals tonight. There are 10 contestants left fighting for the $1 million grand prize and a residency in Las Vegas. The finalists include a strong mix of dancers, singers, performance artists, and even a drone crew. This year has a little something for everyone in the finals.
Here is a look at the 10 remaining finalists and what fans can expect in the AGT finale.
America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer Finalists
The first Golden Buzzer finalist this season is AIRFOOTWORKS, an air-dance group from Japan that fuses dance and street workouts. This was the team that caused the feud between Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel as they both reached out to hit the golden buzzer at the same time. Mandel got the buzzer.
Hakuna Matata Acrobats was Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer. They are a dance group from the Tanzanian city of Dar es Salaam. They were the first group to get a live-show America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer when Sofia hit the button. She called their act “perfection.”
Heidi Klum gave her Golden Buzzer to Dee Dee Simon, a singer from Oakland, California. She has spent her life trying to achieve her dreams as a singer and actor. She has been working as a nurse for the last 19 years in the prison system, and now she has a chance to finally reach her dreams.
Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer went to Sebastian & Sonia, a performance art duo that combines high-stakes aerial stunts with ethereal dance movements. Sonia actually injured her arm during the rehearsals, but they soldiered on, which is what caused Simon Cowell to give them his Golden Buzzer.
AGT Fan-Voted Finalists
Brent Street is an Australian dance troupe from one of the country’s most elite dancing schools. Many of the members have been dancing since they were three. They got Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer in the main America’s Got Talent rounds and the fans voted them through in the end.
Learnmore Jonasi is a comedian from Zimbabwe who lives in Pittsburgh now and brings his comedy from a personal spot as a man from a poor country who is now experiencing the American dream. He has impressed all the judges and has one of the most unique comedy acts in AGT history.
Richard Goodall is a feel-good story of a man who spent his entire life working as a school janitor. He has always loved singing, and he brings an everyman persona to the competition.
Roni & Rhythm is a dog act. Roni has been training dogs to dance since 2019. With her partner, Rhythm, she has found a dog that can do it all without her seeming to need to do more than dance alongside the canine.
Sky Elements is a drone team that takes its act outdoors and has done things with drones, which caused Simon Cowell to help change the rules on Golden Buzzers this season.
Solange Kardinaly is a professional magician and quick-change artist. Her act has since helped her become a viral sensation on social media.
